Your going to have to look at the media as if you are looking at a soulless ghoul. They only care about the next best news. But they want our pity when Trump kicks one of them out of the white house or pass a law to restrict the news in favor of the GoP.

I don't hold any confidence in the media, zero. I've known for a very long time that the 24 hour news cycle that drives the discourse in the country is TOXIC. When you have to fill 24 hours a day with 'News' in order to generate revenue nobody is going to be walking away informed.
Not sure I agree with this. Robert's and Gorsuch I don't see handing Trump the country on a silver platter. Gorsuch has stood against Trump surprisingly often. He's got his lifetime seat, he doesn't have to kiss anyone's ring. Republican politicians don't like Trump and with the court secured for a generation they no longer need him. It hardly matters though. This will stop any progess in this country for decades.
Not to give Trumpy a pass, but I think every President would have a short list of potential candidates for the SC if there were openings that could become available.

I don't see how that seat isn't already filled prior to the election or how, of the two parties, this news is going to inspire more Republicans to show up to vote. I'd think it more motivation for Democrats, seat filled or not.
Considering nobody really talks about it as a possibility, I imagine it probably requires an unrealistic number of Democrat Senate seats you pull off.
