Cowboy Bebop Live Action Series coming to Netflix

I just hope that even if it's bad but succesful, it'll drive a new generation to watch the anime. I mean, they love anime anyway.
Bebop is my favorite anime of all time, I even saw the Seatbelts perform in Paris in 2003. Best concert ever, people were crying lol.

Is it stealthy fuck Marvel? What does Marvel has to do with Netflix's live-action of Cowboy Bebop anyway? Also, off the top of my head, Ennis' Punisher MAX, King's Vision, Brubaker's Cap, rather easily I must say.
Funny enough, I think Terry Crews would be perfectly cast as Alex Louis Armstrong in a FMA adaptation.
I guess I should probably get around to watching this series before the live action version comes out.
Eh I mean he probably has an extremely minor role based on that job tittle. Even if he didn't, he's not exactly a live action director, and his best works are behind him at this point.
Pretty much, CB is the first series he directed and it's still his magnum opus. His last work doesn't inspire much confidence either.
This idea is simultaneously awful and potentially interesting. Kinda.
It entirely depends on who they cast and how they tell the story.
If they attempt to lift stories wholesale from the anime, only with obvious CG and stiff live action, it will be embarrassing to watch. Hopefully they go their own direction.
Take the spirit of the characters and the world, and tell some new stories.
And please give the female characters better attire.

I want to live in a world were space dandy, kids on the slope, samurai chaploo gets the props they deserve (no one can say those shows are outright bad or not up to his talent). Plus his new show looks really interesting.
Although Terror of Resonance didn't exactly pay it off in full. I got some great moments out of it and a another great soundtrack. Still it's pretty silly to boil him down only to CB. Because if that's the case he'd be making CB sequels and prequels like...EVA.
At least he explores.

Only Samurai Champloo has the quality close to the CB though. It's unfortunate it never had a chance to have the same kind of impact. Space Dandy is, imo, a mixed bag and Kids on a Slope, while good, not nearly as ambitious.
TiR is a trash fire. The only interesting part about it is hypotheticals of what could've been if execution was better and themes that were established would've been actually explored.
Death Note was fine.
Sure it had almost nothing to do with the original, but it wasn't trying to. And looking at it this way, it was absolutely fine (except that weird climax lol)
I'm very curious about this project too.
I support Death Note and I don't give a fuck about everything else but I hate this. Cowboy Bebop is sacred.

I definitely think Faye will likely be cast as Asian, because Hollywood seems to have no problem casting Asian American/Western actresses in supporting roles.
Ed need to be choco, jet need to be choco, faye is supposedly somewhere around thailand based on the structures around her house, spike is spike...its really hard but its doable
No, however Spike's design was created with Japanese actor Yusaku Matsuda in mind.
Spike could've had a uniquely Japanese first and last name and it would've been Anglicized in the adaptation and cast with a White guy.
Yeah, TC fits Armstrong from FMA much better. The Rock, Vin Diesel, Batista, or even Trevante Rhodes would fit Jet much better. Not that they're going to get cast or anything.

What is really mean is its gonna usurping the CB search engine with images and videos of the live action version. Instead of the anime version.

And 10 episodes? Like what they'll be 55 min each, cpndensing several original episodes in 1?
I'll wait and see but gut feeling says its gonna be real bad.
As i say with every adaption, even if they fuck it up as they are likely to do(no yoko kanno consultation for soundtrack just hurts), that wont take away from the original. Infact, it will just strengthen it, like the GITS movie which got a lot of people to check out GITS 1995 whereas before, it was not on their radar
