"I go to work then get back home, eat lunch and play for a few hours, spend some time with my family, go out a bit and then get back to gaming again and sleep," he says. "Thursdays, I have friends come over and we play multiplayer games." A pause. "It's the day I unlock the least trophies."
"Even when I am asleep, sometimes I play by leaving some games open with a turbo controller auto-firing a button, to score points or repeat an action over and over. So maybe 70 to 120 hours a week go into gaming."

Just insane. I can't even fathom it. I wonder how many platinums exist in total

Has Sony ever acknowledged him? If I recall, MS gave a lot of goodies to the guy who reached 1M gamerscore or something like that

lol I just got my first one this year (FFXII) and I probably won't do it again.
The only 2 platinums I have were for competing the game (Telltale Batman games).

lol @ people judging him while posting on a video game forum.
All the while discussing games that they most likely have put many hours into trying to secure the same platinum trophies lol...

Congrats to this guy...by comparison, after about 10 years, I think I MIGHT have maybe 4 plats :'( ...

I have 37 Plats and I'm wrapping up Monster Hunter World. Maybe in 50 or so hours of gameplay, I'll have my 38th.

I'm coming for you, Hakoom. Maybe.

There are quite a lot of games available with quick and super easy platinums, some on multiple PS platforms with separate trophy sets. Not sure if this person has gone for the absolute shovelware crapola to achieve this result (with that many Platinums, I'd imagine there are a few Barbie's Horse Riding Camp level games in there), but one can rack up quite a lot of easy Platinums if one has the money to buy all those games and dedicates the time to achieve them daily. The Disgaeas and White Knight Chronicles that take hundreds of hours to platinum are in the minority.

Just as long as you have the skill to not be stuck with some more skill based trophies, with frequent daily playing of a few hours + leaving games on for some "spend this many hours playing such and such" trophies, this doesn't sound all that undoable.

Easily achievable with people playing games for you.
Somehow I strongly doubt he got all of them purely by himself.

God spending so much time gaming can't be healthy, he looks exhausted too. And here I think that the 1 hour I play games per day already adds up to a lot.

Multiple people play on his account, there are a ton of games where he has trophies unlocking for different games at the exact same time almost.

As posted by a member of a video game forum that requires a paid email to access.
Sorry to drive-by, but why is this the case, anyway? Why would Era hamper its potencial for users like that? Few people have paid emails, I imagine.

On topic, this is very impressive. I never had the patience to acquire a single Platinum, let alone hundreds of them. Spider-Man might be my first one, who knows.

That's some dedication, it looks like the indie games have been a boon for his personal achievement

Makes it so that its harder to have people constantly make new accounts just to shit post. Ultimately going for the quality > quantity mindset as best they can with that

Sounds like he's able to manage his life and gaming. He does everything we do except puts in more hours gaming and he can still get shit done. That's some real management.

I'm surprised to see Hakoom is still going strong with collecting Platinums, I heard about him ages ago about how he reached max rank on PSN, crazy good work on getting all those trophies, wonder how long it'll be until Hakoom is no longer #1 with trophies.

I was going to ask how he could afford all those games in the first place but if it's a group of them all playing on one account and sharing the cost of the games then it makes more sense.

I use my college email because my normal Gmail account wouldn't work, so I think my college is paying for my Era access, as I don't even use that email for anything, having already graduated.
