I remember when Terraria was a launch window game for 2017.

But man, a generic "2019" release date? It's incredible that despite the massive success of the game, they operate so slowly. Updates, ports, any sort of initial release date. Its expected that it'll get delayed, and more than once.

It's a shame, because ive been looking forward to the game since its announcement. Oh well...

Wooo WarGroove ISNT DEAD.

Also fully believe we have a September Nintendo Direct and/or possibly a late August one.

That more info coming soon part at the end...
What made you think Wargroove was dead? They have been regularly updating on social media and Chucklefish. They also were on the Xbox e3 trailer.

GUYS! Windjammers 2!

What a great announcement. I can't wait to play that. Looking forward to Everspace, too. I haven't played it since it was in early access on Steam.

There wasn't a single thing showed for the switch at E3 I would play even if I got it for free.

This isn't unexpected. Nintendo's strategy isn't to lump everything into the E3 session and hasn't been for a good few years now. You're going to get more game updates like this, but it also means the likelihood of there being an update with games you're not interested in being higher (see above post, coincidentally).

Hopefully, this year will be the final year that people expect E3 to be a big bang reveal festival and we won't get the needless concern post-mortem next year.

I think we are at the point got these indie games are just...meh. There are far too many and many of them just seem to be copies of others.

Interested in the Gardens Between & Everspace. I need Downwell on my Switch, though.

The Gardens Between looks incredible. Looking forward to it now.

I haven't looked much into Everspace, but it might be in my radar now too.

I'm so excited to see other people as excited as me for this game. I've been following the scant details of it since a Nindies Direct way back when. I didn't know people didn't know it was coming to the Switch.

I knew it was coming on PC later on this year, and was looking forward to play it. I don't usually watch the Nindies, so I caught me by surprise when I saw it come up. Will buy it as soon as I find a reliable connection (I'm overseas on holidays at the moment).

Prison Architect!?! Out of absolutely nowhere! Instant get for anyone into micro management. The art style may appear simple but the game is very complex.

For anyone who may have been put-off by the PC version of the game, back when it was in early access, or when it offical "launch," either because of bugs or the very unuser friendly UI... have no fear because the console versions (yes its also on playstation and xbox) is considerably different from the PC version, while mechanics are the same, the user interface has been completely redone. While I have yet to play any of the console versions (since i dont have xbox or playsation) everyone who talks about those versions have nothing but good things to say about all the difference a good UI makes!

I should note that I also havent played the Switch version, since it just came out. But Im getting it right now. From the gameplay that was just shown however and the UIs featured in those clips, it at least looks like a port of the other console versions, so at the very least the UI should be the same.

You really aren't paying attention to what we say on the forum. Most people expect Metroid and that retro is doing next year.

Some have explicitly said they expected this year to be weak because of all the first half of 2018 bloated with wii u ports but they expect next year to offer something up there with odyssey or botw.

Does every post need "in my opinion"?

There wasn't a single thing showed for the switch at E3 I would play even if I got it for free. Can't get much worse than that.

This showcase showed me 5-6 things I want day one and another bunch of others i'd be interested in trying.

Yeah but why is that "hysterical?" You don't care about Smash, the Lets Go stuff, Daemon Ex Machina, or any of the other stuff. Okay, that's not for you. Great!

You care about a bunch of indie games. Okay, that's for you. Great!

I just don't see how it's "hysterical" when a company showcases things that you don't care about.

The point of these different videos is to appeal to different people.

This video was only uploaded on the European channel, right? I wonder why it wasn't global or why there weren't equivalent videos in other regions. (EDIT: Oh, this is probably connected to Gamescom. That makes sense.)

Assuming things haven't changed, I'm guessing we can expect a Nindies@Night presentation pretty soon, which could be what this video is teasing. I'd think that event should be announced this week.

My god, what happened? This is awesome after a disappointing E3 showing, I want almost everything they showed! Can't wait to read impressions on Bad North and Morphie's law.

Oh i'm Really happy that Prison Architect is on Switch! I recommend it strongly.

All that Switch needs now is Kerbal Space Program

Regarding Morphies Law, it strongly reminded me of Atomega...

In it you collect blocks to grow and win, attack others to them smaller, and there's various locations to access depending on size. Maybe this game idea isn't as original as I thought?

Just as an FYI, Nintendo posted a trailer and the framerate is really low on the video. Haven't played the game mind you but that trailer doesn't paint a good picture of the game's performance, especially on bigger levels:

No. I mean did you watch the same presentation, Night Call , The Garden Between are pretty different to anything else already on Switch and come within the first 5 mins.......

Yeah, all look pretty...meh. All will likely carry a highish price tag and at that point, I could just buy a quality game from a big studio.

The only one of interest in Morphies Law which thankfully is free. Maybe Terraria if that ever arrives.

I was pretty underwhelmed.

If I hear the phrase "indie roguelikes" one more goddamn time I think I'm gonna throw up, lol. This has evolved from genre fatigue into full-on genre PTSD.

To be fair, it's an absolute great fit for indies, as you don't need someone to wear the 'level designer' hat.. it's a lot easier to get a few people together that can do music, programming, and art without also having someone who can do the entire game world. The skillset required in developing a generator algo is different than one that is required to map out a world.

Wow it's only on European Nintendo channel! Usually they spread across them all, right?
