[Official] Battlefield 2042 Open Beta from 6th to 9th of October

The game is also going to run on PS4 / Xbox One. I think the console space is going to be just fine for performance. I'd be surprised if it wasn't buttery-smooth 60fps on PS5 / XSX.
RTX 3060 is stronger than a RTX 2060, and it also recommends a RX 6600 XT which is stronger than a RTX 3060!
Does that mean all of us on Gamepass Ultimate get the Early Access?

OT: Hadn't seen Sundance before. Wish the characters looked more like that as opposed to what we got in-game with the Specialist gameplay trailers.
Sundance is the Wingsuit specialist seen in the reveal trailer. The customization options will really change up the looks of the characters.Not sure if they've shown her off anywhere but the specialist 'Sundance' and her gun look really cool.

Historically DICE has made performance gains from beta to release, so imperfections will likely be smoothed out in a month if any.
I'm sorry if this has been answered already, but do we know what the recommended PC specs mean? 4K 60FPS max settings, probably not right?
My RTX 2070 should be pretty close to the listed RTX 3060 and I also have an R9 5900X, so I'm hoping for some good perfomance. Really looking forward to this beta, haven't been this excited for a BF game in ages!

If it was 128 players maybe. But its still 64 players on there. So dont see why it suddenly will be 30fps
True, just depends on how ambitious the game is. BF1/V pretty much ran at 30-50fps on average so that's why I wonder if this'll just be locked at 30.
Huh, this makes me think all free falling/gliding/parachuting should be third person. And shift to first when landing.
No this is simply for beta. Having GPU will also give you a 10 hour trial of the full game during and after it's early access period. However it does not grant you the full game.
The only sub that gives you 2042 included is EA Play Pro which is PC only and includes the ultimate edition of the game.
Prioritise your real life stuff over luxury items like video games. :)
I think EA Play is $1 for this month, saw some tweet about a promotion being ran. So yea, if you get that, you should be able to play the Beta two days earlier and also I think get 10 hours trial of the actual game. But I cannot remember what the new release date was, it may be after the first month of the sub expires.

Why not just play early on PS5 and then jump on Xbox with the open beta?
I hope I can run it well on PC I got a rx 580 i5 8600k 16gb ram and playing on 2560 x 1080. But if in the off chance I can't is it possible to refund the steam pre order purchase. I pre ordered way back when pre orders where out. If so I plan to refund PC version if I can't run it and get it on ps5.
Does the EA Play Early Access also apply if you're subscribed via Steam? Subbing for $1 now bc I'll be away from my PC for the beta weekend but can maybe sneak in some time on Wednesday and Thursday with early access.

And you will get a 10% discount on the game if you pre-order before EA Play expires.
I'm sorry if this has been answered, but will my Game Pass Ultimate sub allow me early access? I believe it has EA Play included, but I could be completely wrong. I'm not as on top of these things as I once was lol.
PS5 will likely be 4k dynamic res with checkerboard rendering, between 1600-1800p when a lot is happening on screen at high/ultra settings. Your setup should be able to hit the similar settings and performance at 1440p at least.
