Would have still kept the new maps and guns in too :D but Portal should have been the main mode for sure.
Well I found it on the Xbox app, clicked install to console, but nothing happens on my console. I guess I'll try periodically today and hope it's downliaded when I get home.
Shit, did I need to set my Xbox to NZ in order to download at this time?
Is it easy to find "original BFBC2 game mode and maps" in portal? These servers must be up att all time right? Can you save play modes as favourites?
They have presets you can queue for and get into games with proper rule sets to make them feel like their game.
No - the app can be wonky. I tried on and off to get it to install for the last day and it wouldnt work, no error message in the app, the game just never started downloading. I just added my other xbox console (I know - first world problems!) to the app and it set the download going on that immediately!
Ultimately good news but annoying that i could have had the game downloaded by now.
Via the app you can install any game on the store to your console, regardless of whether you own it. If you try and launch a random game you'll get an error on the console directing you to buy it.
The NZ trick is once you "own" a game (i.e. have the right to play it) then you can set your console (or PC) location to NZ and it unlocks at midnight NZ time...provided the game actually has regional unlock times.
My only suggestion is to try and unregister and re-add your console in the xbox app and see if that shakes things free.

In turn, EA play gives you the 10 hour trials. On Pc you need to have your EA and Xbox accounts linked and make sure your account is logged into the xbox app when you get EA desktop up and running. Some people with multiple accounts had problems with EA trying to attach itself to the wrong xbox account.
There are quiet a few review in progress out there already but they only played the game for like 10 hours . Just wait for player impressions
Did it save for you the new input? I switch it to LB. But now it doesn seem to work anymore. You were in the on foot section?
You have to go into controller —>controller schemes and switch soldier buttons to custom.
For those on PC, it is a global launch (I believe), so you cannot use a VPN to get it earlier. I believe it is 3PM EST. I could be wrong though.

It's a bit of an hassle, but better than nothing.
Everything is unlocked from the get go for Portal, but you do get experience for the base game, just not as much as you would playing a base game mode.
Hmm yeah. On one hand is good as people will less focus on their KD if they dont see it. But overall i liked to see my overall stats of all my playtime

I know they share 2042's general progression what I mean is whether a BF3 gun has all attachments from get go or has a regular level up system.

The most popular mode will be CQ AOW, the Portal content is nice but not really what the majority plays. The game is going to live or die based on that too and not on remastered content.
It's laughable, really... the kind of goobers that just wookie 700m away from nearest flag all match for all of like 4 sick sniper kills lack the fundamental capacity to feel bad about not contributing. They know what they're doing lol
The unlock system seems really fair and fun in this one, I hated the grind for the mastery weapon skins in BFV
yeah its alot better. Menu's make more sense also. Overall it has alot better customization in general.
