The only way to pre-load the trial is by searching for the game on the Xbox app and pressing download to console. Once the trial is live you should be able to access directly from your console.
If you are at 1080p low settings you should be getting a lot more than that. These games are very RAM dependant some good ram with good timings can give you upto 50FPS increases in Battlefield games.
portal looks like the real deal, I'm shocked at what they did. They are basically including a bunch of remasters plus a new game, for the price one. Good job EA

and hey, maybe this is the right way to go. BF games have been on the decline for a while imo. if cutting out SP is what they needed to do to get the game back on track, then great. seems far fetched to me to think that that was the issue, but we'll see in a month or so how the game is holding up. if im still playing, then i wont be complaining.

Is it just me or does this BF look surgical clean and not in a good way? like the textures or something just doesn't seem right with me I can't really explain it.
Yeah all the remade maps look so damned amazing. I want to play El Alamein as my first retail map like I did with 1942, but I think I'll jump into base game first though.

I really preferred how vehicles worked in BF1 and BFV, having limited ammo so as to not promote camping, and having to leave your safe camping spot to go and resupply while out of ammo.
That's not what I said. I said the resources that would have been spent on a largely redundant single player campaign have instead been put to work delivering content for the multiplayer. Levelcap in his video said he "feels comfortable in saying that the stuff to do in this game far exceeds that of any past Battlefield by a significant margin" so I'm pretty confident in saying cutting the SP had a bearing on achieving that.

Gamepass by itself only gives access to the 10 hour trial version. That unlocks on consoles at 4 p.m. UTC today (in 3.5 hours). I cant remember off the top of my head when the PC trial version unlocks. PC game pass basically unlocks EA Play in the EA desktop client so as soon as the trial appears in that client you should have access to it.
On Xbox consoles (and a bit differently on PC for genuine Xbox store games), if you own the game, you can change your location to NZ and it will use that as the basis of the unlock. So premium/ultimate people on Xbox could start playing around 90 minutes ago.
7.5 - 8 is what I expected. Don't know how you can review a game like this and have it ready for launch. I get they all went to a review event but that's not indicative to the experience once it's out for everyone. Also that bit from the GameSpot 😬

Yes. It was clear that the SP was an afterthought and dethatched from the rest of the game on both BF1 and BFV
