Xbox Live is offline right now [Update: Back Up]

yeah it's been like that for a few hours now. c'mon microsoft, people pay money for this service.
If your console is set as your home console then you should be able to play any games you own in offline mode
This doesn't seem to help play game pass games. You still get a 'please sign in' message.
in another room but had youtube on my xbox , heard it stop playing went out and the xbox was off. Turned back out wouldnt sign in the first time but signed in on my 2nd try and no other issues so far.
I've gone exclusively game pass this generation so I'm not sure that will work but it's fine I was only going on for my daily achievement and 50 points on rewards
I can't even play games I purchase without getting kicked out and having to sign back in.
I am/was able to launch game pass games on series x, so I'm not sure why some are experiencing otherwise
I didn't even consider this. Yikes. I think I still want one though. Gamepass is a crazy deal even with an occasional blackout
I was playing Fallout 76 and I lost service about 30 minutes ago.
I am in brazil and just launched a GP to test and it is working no problem.
This outage has passed me by and idk why.
IIRC the azure server is in Sao Paulo and I am in Rio.
Saw on Twitter this was happening, interestingly doesn't appear to be the case in the UK though...working for me.
I can watch a video but it won't load anything related to channels, it's weird

Working fine for me in the US. Also can access my Game Pass games no problem on my end.
Its funny because some of the apps are up for me; twitch for instance.

If Azure goes down, then yeah.
But a lot of times XBL issues are not related to Azure but something going wrong in one of the stacks that drive XBL.
Go offline and launch the game it will work, unless it is not your home xbox.
Europeans sadly know that Xbox Live is down from 2hrs or so... and during the most populated time (9pm and onwards)
Down here in Australia. Though I can play game pass games, just have to sign my controller into my account. Didn't even have to go offline mode.
Edit: I did actually have to offline, but soon as I did all my downloaded game pass games work fine.

Same issue. I used to be able to play GP games offline but none of the ones I have installed are starting.
