Could be at the XSX reveal event, if they even have one.

They shouldn't have one. That way, they can avoid all the negative energy that comes from it.
Its christmas Tonky, ju-just let yourself go, its better if you accept the evil within rather than ignoring it. But no, Tonky, sorry to dissapoint you Tonky, but thats not my alt, cant you understand Tonky? O-one year has passed si-since Rami Seb BAN, one year To-tonky.
Negative energy from reveal events? That's news to me.They shouldn't have one. That way, they can avoid all the negative energy that comes from it.
Yea, if they have a reveal event I can see it happening there too.
Everyone is just looking to troll them
The next gen thread skews Sony a bit and they are getting into secret sauce territory believing that Sony has made an exclusive pact with Samsung to put the next gen HBM ram into the console.
Indeed, there's a heavy bias towards Sony's hardware there. Best to treat most of the discussion as speculation until we hear from the big dogs themselves.
While there are some good, logical posts there, its also has some unrealistic ones in the mix too :P
I would not be surprised at another studio purchase next year.
I really hope Everwild isn't a Sea of Thieves type of game. I don't mind multiplayer but I'd very much prefer a traditional single player adventure.
This is just based on everything they've been saying and all the rumors going around. Seems very likely that they'll be adding more studios soon.Damn, haven't they bought enough studios already? And you people want even more? Lol let them breathe a bit
Idk how many studios Sony has, so maybe 13 studios isn't such a crazy number lol
We operate as an independent studio under the banner and financial backing of Xbox Game Studios and Microsoft.
I think that's supposed to imply that they have creative independence from Microsoft.Interesting quote for The Initiative page. Guess they fall in the line of NT, Double Fine, Obisdian as being "independent"?
But when you look at their career page and click apply you do get send to the MS career page. Wich usually happens with 343, T10 etc.
The characters look amazing imo.
The whole style looks like a next-gen Nintendo game.

yes that how it's work before you convert it.Oh that's cool but weird lol
So if I redeem 24 months of Gold + 6 months of GamePass, they consider I have 30 months sub so they convert it to 30 months of Ultimate ?
Microsoft is generous
Yea I think so too. The Lionhead during Fable 3 and after was not top tier. And while I feel bad some Lionhead devs were forced to resign, I am glad that PG is taking over the series especially for a Fable 4.Tbf to mattrick I think lionhead lost a shit ton of talent and wasn't good enough for a fable 4 personally anyway.
Eurogamer has an article about it. It was going to be very Victorian England with stuff like Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde references. https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2016-05-12-lionhead-the-inside-storyLionhead changed from a mainly SP-ARPG team to a more MP-Action team that was meant to support live services... Cancelling Legends for a new mainline Fable game would've just been a huge waste of resources since then they'd need to hire back ARPG talent.
I'm not fully sure what we know of the original pitch for Fable 4 (without Molyneux although there was a rumour that hinted at a very dark to even Bloodborne-esque game) but yeah Harrison seems to be the leading factor of that massive change for Lionhead no matter the pitch for whatever Lionhead was pitching for a new main Fable game
Oh well, at least Phil Harrison is finding success over at Google.
And speaking of studios I wouldn't mind Microsoft getting just ONE MORE studio that specializes in FPS to stand next to Halo as an alternative and to cement Xbox as the top tier console when it comes to fps. I know people do not want Xbox to only be known for shooters(heck I want Xbox to be known for RPGS) but.... Just a way to further diversify the Xbox.

I think compulsion will make 1st person AAA atmosphere games like BioshockYesssss.. Actually, even just first person games in general. First person is just so much more immersive to me
I don't doubt that, but that's partly the fault of forcing them to make Legends. But I don't know if they had gotten a chance at Fable 4 that they're would've done a good job. I played through all the Fables recently for the first time so it's not nostalgia when I say Fable 1 was the best. 2 and 3 were far too braindead for my tastes. No interest in a Fable 4 that continues with that trajectory.Booty talked about Lionhead in the Gameinformer podcast i believe and said Lionhead wasnt in a place really to make a big Fable RPG at that time.
I feel like the studio was a little lost after Molyneux left. Like him or loathe him, that studio was his baby, and he was the heart, soul and energy behind it.Booty talked about Lionhead in the Gameinformer podcast i believe and said Lionhead wasnt in a place really to make a big Fable RPG at that time.
Looking forward to Tell Me Why. Just cried my soul out when finishing Life is Strange 2. :)
Yea I can see this too.I think compulsion will make 1st person AAA atmosphere games like Bioshock
Exactly my thoughts after finishing Life is Strange 2 last night despite not crying but I definitely felt the pain.Looking forward to Tell Me Why. Just cried my soul out when finishing Life is Strange 2. :)
Compulsion Games had an open position back in June, looking forI think compulsion will make 1st person AAA atmosphere games like Bioshock
Or a GTA-killer :OI've always thought given Playground's expertise in racing games that they could create a cinematic third person, action adventure game with over the top racing, action set pieces and make a blockbuster game heavily influenced by Fast and the Furious.
Well that would be different, since that would be an open world game.
Tbh I think The Initiative is going to develop that "Summer Blockbuster" -esque gameWell that would be different, since that would be an open world game.
Oh yeah, it's just I don't know what type of genre they'd excel at the way Playground excels with cars.Tbh I think The Initiative is going to develop that "Summer Blockbuster" -esque game
They got folks from R*. Not sure if they were involved with vehicle systems though. Actually, I think Playground has folks from R* too.Oh yeah, it's just I don't know what type of genre they'd excel at the way Playground excels with cars.

The place was clearly out of control. When you go back and read that old Eurogamer interview they did with one of the managers after the studio closed things were way out of control.
People just joking around writing homophobic things on the fridge with magnets. Porn being sent around through corporate email... And the guy basically shoulder shrugged it off as something that shouldn't be happening but whatcha gonna do?
If they'd been churning out 95+ metacritic, GOTY titles selling 7+ million copies maybe they wouldn't have been closed... but it wouldn't have been because they didn't deserve it. The place was a lawsuit waiting to happen and if you were a mature professional, why would you want to work there?
I tend to think Molyneux not being very present and his senior management not getting a grip on their people is the ultimate issue Lionhead had. But, clearly MS should have tried to interfere before. It never should have gotten to that point. People like to pretend Lionhead was some perfectly normal studio MS killed after a bad game when a project wasn't going as intended. But I think there is probably way more to that story. No way someone from MS just wandered into that office and decided killing a prominent studio in a popular territory for them, that would cancel a big game, leave a huge gap in their lineup, strand a franchise, potentially forever and deal with gamer fallout was done lightly.
