The idea of human authentication might be a good thing, getting rid of bots, etc... I don't trust Musk at all, and his babbling about "free speech" and his "anti-woke" shitposting shows him as the kind of goon that should never have the wheel... but it's done now.
Will be interesting to see how this plays out, especially with the new EU regluations. They can't segment the way the site is run to appease those, so they'll either have to abide by their rules or stop officially supporting the EU.... or maybe some other fuckery.

They are calling him a fascist because he is a fascist. The thread is littered with examples of why. He also wants to allow unchecked bigotry and hatred to run wild on Twitter. He wants to allow blatant misinformation.

Totally agree haha, which is why I think the Tony Stark comparison is fair. Imperfect human, but overall trying to advance humanity. I don't agree with everything he says or does, but I like that he has great ideas for the future that nobody else seems to care about.
