Endgame is possibly the last movie for Iron Man, Captain America and Thor, and at this point they can comfortably sit in the same table as legendary characters like Luke Skywalker or Aragorn.

Some years ago Tony Stark was clearly the favourite, as Iron Man basically shaped the MCU and the first movie for Cap and Thor weren't that popular in comparison, but since then that has changed, The Winter Soldier is considered by many the peak of the MCU and Thor has been gained a lot of love with Ragnarok and his scene arriving in Wakanda in one of the hypest moments I've experienced in cinema.

So who of the 3 is your favorite?

Out of those 3, I'll have to go with Cap. Thor didn't really come into his own until Ragnarok and Infinity War.

Tony started out good, fell off a bit and came back with Civil War and Infinity War.

Definetly Cap. Love his arc, his morality, his ethics etc.

Winter Soldier is still my favorite MCU movie.

Thor by a large margin. Then IM for his suit shenanigans. Boyscout archetypes do nothing for me, so sorry Cap.

Cap probably. I love late-era Thor but it took so long to get there. And Stark is an ass, which is of course why people love him.

Iron Man is insufferable, Thor has moments of brilliance, and Steve Rogers is on a whole other level of greatness.

As a very, very, very non-American person, I never thought I'd give a shit about Captain America, so the fact that he's my favourite is an actual miracle.

Thor. Cap is great, but he's boring. When we first met Thor, he was smashing coffee cups on the ground in delight, and he's continued to get better (The Dark World notwithstanding). Stark's good for snide commentary, but Thor has the best blend of humor, charm and decency.

Cap is just so earnest. He is the ideal hero and I love him for it.

IM and Thor just aren't on his level of heroism.

Steve Rogers said:
Tony. You chose to do that. If we sign these, we surrender our right to choose. What if this panel sends us somewhere we don't think we should go? What if there's somewhere we need to go, and they don't let us? We may not be perfect, but the safest hands are still our own.

Iron Man is basically the reason the MCU exists, and is the best character even regardless of that.

Before CA Winter Soldier: Iron Man
After CA Winter Soldier: Captain America

I recently did a rewatch of the big MCU movies and noticed Whedon's Cap is very stick-in-the-mud, which makes sense for the first Avengers because he's fresh out of the ice, but even after Winter Soldier in Age of Ultron he's very straight-laced again. Whedon himself admitted at a recent MCU directors roundtable that he didn't have a great handle on the character and praised the Russos for what they've done with the character.

I felt exactly the same about Whedon's Cap.

Russo Bros. improved Cap by 10000000x

I have issues with Avengers 1, and they are mostly related to Wheadon-isms

I actually just watched Infinity War for the first time a couple nights ago. Obviously I'm not all that invested in the movies, but even still; how you not choose Thor?

Thor. Made by far the most development as a character.
Then Cap. Stark is a prick, and even though he occasionally gets a good snarky one-liner, I don't feel like he's got much more substance.

Thor is my bro after Ragnarok, and I love Tony, but Capt is that dude, no question about it

Cap is not the strongest superhero, but his will and heart is what makes him the best.

Eh...Banner has more heart that Rogers. Thor has more strength. Stark is smarter. Cap seems the most meh to me, but again, that's from someone who has a very mild interest in any of these movies. I don't spend much time analyzing any of this stuff.

Dunno if I can agree to that. I don't like Cap at all, but I just can't agree.

Captain America. He makes everyone around him better. He inspires. He makes you want to be a better person. He is the very definition of a hero.
