The better question is if MK + SF + Tekken will outsell SmashThe better question would be if MK + SF together could match Smash lol.

Throw in SoulCalibur 6 as well
Uhhh, maybe? Could just be gastric. If it hurts more when you breathe, it probably is.
What about DBFZARMS + Pokkén DX + Injustice 2 + MK11 + SFV + Tk7 + SC6 + KoF XIV + DoA6
VS
Smash Ultimate
Eeeh, that's probably a little too much ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I had the same gut reaction but a lot of people are really underselling MKX. According to the recent "leaked" numbers MKX had ~17M players on PS4 alone. Now not all of those equate to sales, but it's likely that a vast majority of them do, and that's just PS4. Count Xbox, PC, and now Switch for MK11 and it can easily give smash a run for its money considering the best selling single smash entry was 4M less than what MKX supposedly did on PS4 alone.

I highly doubt this is remotely accurateAccording to the recent "leaked" numbers MKX had ~17M players on PS4 alone
Like I said it's based on player count not necessarily copies purchased, but that's where it stands currently.
No it doesn't.According to the recent "leaked" numbers MKX had ~17M players on PS4 alone.
MKX, MK11 and Injustice 2 alone are over 20 million (putting 11 close to X).

I sincerely doubt that that's even remotely accurate. If it's even close, I'm willing to bet that's almost entirely due to used games and borrowingI had the same gut reaction but a lot of people are really underselling MKX. Yup.
I'll be over the moon if that happened.
ARMS + Pokkén DX + Injustice 2 + KoF XIV ~ 10m
I think 20 million for Ultimate.ARMS + Pokkén DX + Injustice 2 + KoF XIV ~ 10m
MK11 + SFV ~ 10m
Tk7 + DBFZ + SC6 + DoA6 ~ 10m?
I think Ultimate will sell ~25m so...
Given how that other thread went, I did actually wondered which of the two games would sell better. Both have a lot going for it from both a casual and hardcore perspective and both are among the highest sellers of fighting game franchises.
It may be close to that by FY19 Q4 tho
I think DBFZ could do decently well. It's already outsold two Smash games, no?They do, that's why I genuinely wanted to make the comparison. Netherealm is probably the only fighting game company that has even a ghost of a chance of being in the same league sales wise as Smash.
Not this huge
The last number we got for MKX is ~5 million.
Which will sell better: Fallout 76 or Anthem? One of those threads where the answer is so obvious the OP knows it, but still says "fuck it I'm posting" because they love the series that wins by a landslide and feel a need to twist the screws into the loser.
Brb making a "Was FO76 actually a disappointment?" poll.

Dragonball Fighter Z was at 3.5 million by October. Smash on Wii U sold 5.3 million and is one if the least selling Smash games.I think DBFZ could do decently well. It's already outsold two Smash games, no?

I don't know, this doesn't paint that picture.
Oh, for some reason I thought it was at over 5 million. Maybe I was confusing with Xenoverse numbers.Dragonball Fighter Z was at 3.5 million by October. Smash on Wii U sold 5.3 million and is one if the least selling Smash games.
Time to go to sleep.I think DBFZ could do decently well. It's already outsold two Smash games, no?
I was mistaken about DBFZ sales, apparently. I was remembering ~5 million, which I feel may have been the number for one of the Xenoverse games instead.

Yeah it was probably this. All Dragon Ball stuff is the same thing to me
I remember Injustice sold huge right? But considering this is MK. It is going to be bloodbath.
Some are off but not all of them. Conversely several people have pointed out how many of the numbers are near exactly the same as what the developers denoted. Even chopping that number in half or cutting it down a third that's still a lot more than people in this thread are giving it credit for, which was my initial point. That has been disproved already. RE7 on that list has more sales than PS4, Xbox and PC put together and that's from Capcom's own data. It's nowhere near accurate.
