This is true.
I've found that in a lot of media, good factions are represented by blue, there is a lot of stories wherein the hero character specifically is represented by red.
After all it's sort of why it's a trope of the main character having fire powers.
If I see both colors at the same time without any context, I'll think of politics, so red = good, blue = bad.
In context, blue tends to mean "good" and red is usually "bad", i.e. inFamous and ME good/bad karma.
