Yesterday a friend and I were talking about cellphones and eventually we started talking about our first phones.

My first phone was a Nokia 3310, gifted by my parents on my 16th birthday.

Not bad at all for my first phone. Played Snake for hours on that beast.

MotoRazr flip phone

EDIT: Wait no... There was a Nokia thing before that one like what the OP lists. Back in the days before Cingular was bought.

Don't know the exact model but it was soms silver flip phone.

Second was a Sony Ericsson phone, they made some slicky designed phones and later got a LG Arena which had a touch screen and Froze every so often

I bought my first phone during high school, around intership

Basically the same as the OP. I don't know if it was *exactly* the same, but it was a very similar looking Nokia. This would have been around 2000-2001.

Some plastic Nokia. Don't remember the model number. They all kind of looked like the one in the OP at that time.

The Nokia 3200. The box came with a special cutting tool where you could create your own cover, it was neat.

Grey Nokia 3210. Cost me 60 euro (punts?) new on pay as you go. Texts were 10c each unless you changed your SMS message center number to some other countries , which gave you free texts until about a month later when you'd end up in negative balance. I remember going to the US around 2001 and no one my age has a phone. Everyone in Ireland had one since they were so cheap. US telecoms companies were (and still are) screwing people with over priced phones and contracts.

Some kind of pay-as-you-go flip phone, I don't remember the brand, TBH. It was 2002, and I was a freshman in highschool.

one of those earlier nokia models

i had dinosaur phones before that but they were solely for keeping in touch with my parents. i was "allowed" to talk to friends on it but they were so used to calling me on my land line, i guess. and i didn't know how to text (i don't know if the plan even included texting, or if you even could text on them)

Little Samsung SGH-something flip phone, can't remember the model number, there was a few iterations of the model. Nifty phone, kinda miss the form factor. I still have it somewhere.

Got this LG flip phone in 9th grade around 2005, and I was probably one of the last of my friends to get a cell phone. Played a lot of Doom RPG on this (miss that game).

Followed it up with this beast, the EnV 2, a couple years later. I never understood how to use T9 to type, so the full keyboard was amazing.

Does anyone remember the Alcatel One touch Easy?
mobile.softpedia.com

Alcatel One Touch Easy

Alcatel One Touch Easy mobile phone with 500 mAh battery

You could take out the included battery and use AAA batteries instead. Man, I kinda miss this era of cellphone tech, when all phones didn't look so similar to each other.
