Sorry but I must disagree with that , FF6 is great but FF7 is one of the most iconic/popular games of all time.
It's One Winged Angel and there is literally zero competition.
There are plenty of great final boss themes I love.
Dark King from FF Mystic Quest
The Stone-Like from Radiant Silvergun
Bowser's Theme from Mario 3
Agnus Dei from Ace Combat 4: Shattered Skies
The Phenomenon (Divine Rampart) from Raiden V
So forth and so on, but as far as recognition and impact, nothing even comes close.
