Had these bad boys every day at University during lunch. Best wings I've ever had.

The volcano items from Taco Bell, namely the burrito. When they did the volcano quesarito I went to Taco Bell so many times because I had just moved and hadn't gone grocery shopping yet and just needed it to stay sane, it was great.

Edit: Also the Reeses McFlurry, that was incredible.

Burger King Loaded Steakhouse Burger - MASHED POTATOES ON A BURGER WHY NOT

McDonald's McSkillet Burritos - large breakfast burrito filled with chicken, potatoes, vegetables, two types of cheese and a fire-roasted tomato salsa

basically, put more potatoes in things

Potato wedges from KFC.

I also miss fish tacos from Long Johns. They still offer them but now they put Cole slaw on them which is just fucking nasty.

It seems like most McDonalds had gotten rid of the Southern Style Chicken Biscuit. Now all they have for a chicken biscuit is the awful patty they use on their value menu McChickens.

ChickenBiscuit.jpg

Yeah that too. So much juicier and tastier than what they offer now.

Japan!
Angus 1/3rd pounder at McDonald's

I loved this. I remember they had one with mushrooms and swiss cheese I think.

I also miss Burger King fries circa 2006-ish. I moved to Japan in 2009 but they apparently changed them at some point after that because next time I had BK around 2012 they were completely different and just bad.

Burger King Rodeo King

last time they had it was what...2018? Or something , been long time since I had it

Also not particularly a fast food item but might as well give special honor to Gatorade Midnight Thunder
Good News, BK here in Wichita still have the Rodeo King.

Bad news, my favorite discontinued item is BK tacos, which no where has anymore. :(

I'm in Texas - and damn you lucky ;(

They had the tacos a few months ago prior to the pandemic - now that I check, they dont have it anymore...that didnt last long lol.
Yeah, the "special item tacos" weren't even the same as the classic tacos, but they were still good.

Basically, they were Jack and the Box tacos but didn't tend to kill your gut afterwards.

I'm already annoyed quesaritos aren't on the Taco Bell menu any more.
I legit pulled up to a Taco Bell yesterday and asked for a Grilled Stufft Burrito and they told me they didn't sell them anymore.

What the fuck? First they took the double decker taco. Then they took the breakfast (that AM Crunchwrap was god tier). Now they take the only good burrito???

Fuck you Taco Bell!

Oh yeah. Rodeo Burger was great. I think it was super cheap like a $1 or something. I'd pick one up on my way home from work for a midnight snack. Good cheap burger.

Does Burger King still occasionally have their Western Whopper? I remember really liking it when they would have it

KFC:
Honey BBQ Wings

BBQ Baked beans

Twister chicken wrap...that pepper mayo was *chef's kiss*

I would say the Double Down, but I get my fill when I'm in Puerto Rico as it is always there normally

Shoutouts to the already mentioned BK original Chicken Tendercrisp sandwich. Getting coupons for that was gold, and McDonald's Angus 1/3 pound burgers

I always bring it up every time there's a fast food nostalgia thread here, but the goddamn McWrap
2016-04-14-1460663848-3210181-McD_McWrap2.jpg

Like I just loved these damn things, plus, at least at my local Mickey D's, they were one of the few things where they actually looked like they did in the promo shots.

The snack wraps were alright, but nowhere near as filling or as delicious as these were, plus even those are currently not available cuz of the limited menu they're running due to COVID.

I loved the hot wings at KFC. They became hard to find and you'd have to wait to get them but dammit I did.

Then they launched those new wings and nope...I want the old ones back.

And I read the potato wedges are gone? Hot wings and potato wedges were like my favorite thing at KFC! Damn you Popeyes forever now.

Thanks Sven, I blame you about the wedges.

I went there the other night after the menu change and just straight up couldn't find anything I even wanted. I left with 3 tacos. What an absolute disappointment with that change.

McRib

Sour Skittles that come in a green packet — I don't actually know if they are discontinued but it feels like I can't find these in most shops anywhere unless I order them specially from somewhere. I suspect it may have something to do with the sugar tax though.

they still have these here but they've changed. they don't have like the sour powder on the outside anymore, they just look and feel like normal skittles that are a little sour. they're way worse now

Taco Bell Mexi-nuggets
KFC Twister
Burger King cheese fries

I think the Twister was the most recently discontinued item of the three but that was still years ago.

Oh another thing I miss that is discontinued is McDonald's Home Style burger.

Way better than anything else they have imo as far as burgers especially the abysmal Big Mac....

I just went to McDonald's today for lunch and saw the Home Style on the menu. Don't know if they actually still would have had it if asked, though.

I used to get these all the time. I didn't go to McDonald's for 2 years and when I finally decided to go again they said they got rid of these. Shit destroyed me :(

Never forgive McDonald's for this.

Wendy's had something similar that they kept a little while longer called crispy chicken Caesar wraps. They were pretty good! Gone now too.

It's been a long time since I was a fast food person, but these were still occasionally coming back up through the late 90s. They were surprisingly great.
This looks pretty good. A few years ago, McDonalds had a sort of similar version of this called the Grilled Onion Cheddar Burger. It had the grilled onions, but instead of a cheese sauce they used white american (cheddar?) slices. I would get the triple of it and man it was good. Was definitely bummed when they took it off the menu.

Would like to try that Cheddar Melt for sure.

Brand Eating - McDonald's Grilled Onion Cheddar Burger

THIS. Man, this was my go-to Taco Bell item and was annoyed when they axed it. I guess you can still kind of simulate them by adding sauces/pico, but it's not really the same I feel.
Taco Bell Smothered Burrito. It was $5 and it filled you up. Really miss this one

taco_bell_smothered_burrito_test.jpg
These were also incredibly good, especially for the price. This also was a big loss. :(
