...amongst other things.

Other noteworthy moves announced Wednesday include setting an August 21, 2020 release date for Warners' untitled Fred Hampton project, the biopic of the Black Panthers revolutionary. The studio also has a name for its latest Conjuring universe film: The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It already has a September 11, 2020 release date.

Warners also said it is moving up its Mortal Kombat movie from its original March 2021 date to January 15, 2021.
Three untitled WB Event films have been slotted, as well, for October 16, 2020; January 29, 2021; and March 5, 2021. Three other event films have been removed from the schedule, two in 2020 and one in February 2021.
Pour one out for Akira though:
Among the 12 titles in the mix as the studio lines up its slate for 2020 and beyond included moving Taika Waititi's live-action feature take on famed cult manga Akira off the release schedule. It had been set for May 21, 2021, and was allocated $18.5 million in California tax credits in the spring.

EDIT: MAY 21ST 2021, MY BAD.

2022 seems like there's zero point in keeping anything Justice League related in this film. Miller is busy with the Fantastic Beast films now anyway, right?

Does anyone really think the Wachowskis (I realize its only one of them this time) still have it?

Imagine the workouts Keanu has to do for JW4 and the Matrix. He will age 10 years! Finally broke him.

Shouldn't the title say 2021 for Matrix 4?

Didn't see the edit at the bottom my bad.

Always got it in them but Jupiter Ascending was terrible. I'm willing to give them the benefit of doubt. It may be Matrix sequels bad or worse but who else is going to make it, doesn't seem like there was any takers or perhaps the cast wasn't interested without one of them.

I wonder if they are going to push tech even further for something new.

A more than a half decade long journey to get Ezra Miller as Flash in a movie

Based off all the come and go directors and writers, the role as originally envisioned and cast does not even exist any more

They announced Ezra as The Flash before the premier of the TV show, and are potentially releasing it in '22? Funny. Still not happening.

I thought The Flash was supposed to be quick? Why did it take him 5 years to get his own movie?

Edit: that's five years since he was in Justice League, even more than that if you're talking when he was first cast.

Does the Flash even have a director? I know they've gone through about 4 of them - did anyone actually agree to do this?

I thought they tossed the script too.

Last I heard the guy behind the IT movies was on board to direct Flash, and WB liked whatever script Ezra and a DC person co-wrote.
