Thanks to everyone for the answers and explanations, though it's obvious I didn't manage to get my core question across, which might be too specific to properly convey for someone who isn't a native English speaker (which in this case would be me). And I misused otome somewhat, despite actually knowing it's the "one girl, many guys" subgenre.
So... since it's not really important after all, I'll give it a last try based on actzual examples and if that still isn't working, we can all move on, heh.
I wasn't thinking about VNs liks Steins;Gate, AI: The Somnkum Files, Zero Escape or Danganronpa in that regard, as they are more focused on other things (Sci Fi, Escape Room stuff, detective work) where interpersonal relationships are also framed by that - in these VNs, sex basically doesn't fit in, I feel, so it's not there. And despite having a cast of horny characters, Our World is Ended also fits in that list.
On the other hand, I've recently read YU-NO, Grisaia and Maitetsu, which all have a bigger focus on relationships (and are a bit harem-y) in their console version, i.e. mostly sex-free, but obviously the originals had many H scenes (including some very obvious pre-teen characters) and Aokana seemingly has as well. And this is what I was trying to figure out: Are somehow all VNs that somewhat follow the same formula of the mentioned games released in Japan with H content because that's some sort of "it just has to be that way or nobody would buy it"?
Well, that probably again was way too complicated and confusing, I guess :)
