I briefly dated a teacher. I can tell you her profession didn't mean much when it came to maturity and a few other issues.

The requirements to become a teacher, especially for anything pre-high school, are alarming. I partied with a few people in college who became teachers. I don't want to speak too meanly about friends, but let's just say intelligence isn't a requirement to be a teacher.
Same reason why people keep saying "get out of my country" on camera or calling the cops on black people for breathing
