Yeah, definitely has a point. I hate going there to get to the Empress Walk, it's always a clusterfuck, something bad was bound to happen.
But it looks like it happened across from Empress, not at Yonge and Finch directly

I'm watching CP24 (local news station here), they're talking to witnesses and asking the dumbest questions. 'We're you scared?'
People just saw others get hit by a van, obviously they're shaken up. This kind of stuff pisses me off so much. People are shaken and rightfully so, why would you ask someone 'were you scared?'

CP24 is not a bastion of good reporting. Expect better coverage from CTV proper or CBC
Hope there aren't any casualties. Why are cars still a thing in big cities? God, I can't wait till we get rid of them, hopefully in my lifetime.
That's my takeaway too, not jumping to fears of terrorism. At least make them self driving.
Good luck with that in this city, a mayoral candidate who campaigned on improving public transit was accused of declaring a "war on cars" by his populist opponent. I'll give you a guess on who won the election.

The victims are on the sidewalk, the van in news footage appears to be parked up on the sidewalk. Doesn't sound like someone running an intersection, but I'm not a traffic cop. Police also saying no motive yet.
This is actually quite a bit south of Yonge and Finch. It's much closer to Yonge and Shepard.
I don't know why they keep reporting Finch.

They're so used to running boring human interest stories all day that any time something important or interesting happens they stumble around or defer to CTV.
lol what? When I can get to work faster, cheaper and more conveniently via TTC, GO, regional bus then I'll use them. Until then, why would I?
