The Ukraine scandal literally fell into her lap. She was about to let him get away with multiple counts of obstruction.

Just looking at 2016, 2018, the current GCB trend, etc, it seems almost certain that Trump will lose the pop. vote in 2020. Any Dem (besides maybe Tootsie) would beat him if it was gone.
The EC is also the reason why Biden still has some legitimate claim to "electability".
Looking at the "Would you be disappointed if x candidate won the nomination.", And general favorability ratings, I think Warren would likely get the most popular vote of the bunch, but unfortunately, as we saw in 2016, that doesn't mean very much in this reality if those votes aren't coming from the right places e.g WI, MI, PA

The people mad about this are generally the defeatists who don't think that getting rid of Trump early is even possible. Not doing a politically stupid thing with a political problem is not "letting him get away with it". Impeachment has jack shit to do with moral posturing.
A 42/48 split for a Speaker in the modern day is basically the equivalent of a 60% approval rating for a President.
