Oh, as a pig in shit.
Oh, as a pig in shit.
Auto is actually Susan Collins confirmed.
Yep.
Apply directly to the forehead? If it's a legitimate rapist, the Senate body has a way of putting it on the Supreme Court
Hopefully a 2020 loss doesn't mean people would take his loss in a 2024 comeback bid for granted. He'd be 1-1 at that point.
Also don't think he'd have loser stench in the primary because he'll tell his base the election was stolen, and they'll believe him.
Beto O'Rourke @BetoORourke
Leaving millions of weapons of war on the streets because Trump and McConnell are "at least pretending to be open to reforms"?
That calculation and fear is what got us here in the first place. Let's have the courage to say what we believe and fight for it. https://twitter.com/dcexaminer/status/1173239254257979400 …

Just read some of the #KavanaughLied tweets. The FBI failed it's duty to investigate a serial sex abuser and now he has a lifetime appointment.
What can we even do anymore?
Fuck Collins.
I could stand to sit through more hours of Brett screaming like a psychopath, sure.
Matt Damon would get another shot on SNL, at the very least
"I've supported her ever since she went to Washington. I was extremely disappointed with the Kavanaugh vote," said Donna Sawyer, 72, of Limington, a former host of a local gardening television show. "I will never vote for that woman again!"
Any candidate running for this office with any thought of working with fucking Mitch McConnell, should probably bow out. I'm also really disappointed in Bernie for not wanting to nuke the Filibuster. The one thing Warren has over him in my view.
There is no telling the fuckery that would come during that, when we had open operations by the ratfuckers, him and Graham (who was in the ME quietly while this state got sideswiped by a hurricane as congress reconvenes...) screeching and sneering, Collins' speech quoting the same conspiracy theory that got one of those ratfuckers fired from his PR job not one week before, the burial of this millions of debt payoffs, a doctor's life exposed to the winds of DC's grinding entertainment (whose story was pretty much verified AND another ratfucker was with Brett then!)...
Whatever reasons he was wanted on that bench despite the pain he dredged up, and put the Senate, the FBI, the SCOTUS, and innocents thru, all with the expectation that these reveleations of new evil in his past will keep popping up, and when a regular-ass clean-living conservative District Judge would have sailed thru no problem with 60+ votes, must be really valuable..
He's referring to the gun control measures being discussed in Congress right now, in particular the Manchin-Toomey bill on background checks. Quite possible this will go nowhere, again, but saying you want to grab people's guns is probably also not going to be particularly helpful for the momentum Democrats do have on the issue.Any candidate running for this office with any thought of working with fucking Mitch McConnell, should probably bow out.
My wife and I aborted our first pregnancy because of anencephaly (among other defects). She still breaks down about it every year about the anniversary of the diagnosis, but the alternative of being forced to bring it to term would have wrought incalculable emotional and psychological damage.anencephaly. I take the pill, but if that doesn't work, abortion is a fallback. If they take that away, absolutely no way in fuck am I carrying a child with severe birth defects.
Sanders is for ranked choice. I'm drawing a blank on his stance on the EC tho.Warren"s outspoken support of reforms like Electoral College, Ranked Choice Voting and nuking the Filibuster is the one area where she is better than Bernie. That and calling out the racism and sexism inside the GOP instead of being cautious to the point of anger like when Bernie said the whole "it isnt racist to not vote for Gillum because hes black".
I meant more generally, but yeahHe's referring to the gun control measures being discussed in Congress right now, in particular the Manchin-Toomey bill on background checks. Quite possible this will go nowhere, again, but saying you want to grab people's guns is probably also not going to be particularly helpful for the momentum Democrats do have on the issue.
Look, I'm not a fan of Beto's prospects. But it's hard to deny that his "Hell yeah we're taking your guns!" was the biggest moment of the night besides Castro going nuclear. That we're still talking about it is a sign that it resonated. It's his "Basket of Deplorables" moment: the people we shouldn't be two-shits concerned about are performing outrage, while the base we need to worry about keeping energized are going "FUCK YES!!!!"but saying you want to grab people's guns is probably also not going to be particularly helpful for the momentum Democrats do have on the issue.
Drag his ass, Beto

That makes no sense to me. Like, what's that even mean?Sanders wants to get around the filibuster to the point it is toothless.
That's what makes Buttigieg such a freaking frog right now. Isn't he the one always saying that Republicans are going to ascribe a position to you regardless, so run on what you believe and be passionate about? But now we're supposed to be excited by McConnell "pretending" to care? Butt actually acknowledged that McConnell is only pretending!
The cruelty is the point, I think. He's in there because he's the one who would trigger libs the most. It's not enough to do their jobs quietly, it's to do them loudly and gin up as much wailing and gnashing of teeth from the opposition as they can.
Sometimes it sucks being the good guys because you really can't spend your time and energy doing the same. Not that you need to be civil or any of that shit, but we don't get to be petty for the sake of hurting them and that's frustrating at times.
The masses are going to Rise Up and demand that their elected leaders vote for stuff, remember? Even from deep red states!
Sanders' position on the filibuster either comes from a fear that it would be abused by the GOP (although reconciliation favors the kind of hatchet-jobs they like to pull and not progressive legislation), or just from the ghost of the spirit of comity in the Senate.
Same. If it comes up for a vote, Bernie will vote to nuke it.Personally I don't really care or want to talk about the filibuster until we actually have a majority for once.
Let's actually try and win the senate and we'll figure out what to do with it then
Just from talking with Bernie supporters I also just don't think that many people know what the filibuster is or why it needs to be destroyed.a lot of people are giving bernie the benefit of the doubt and assuming he doesn't want to show his hand until he's actually in power
I unfortunately think your latter point is correct, and that the Senate has insulated him.

Just another member of the crusty Establishment concerned with their norms. SMH.It's kind of ridiculous with his constant talk of revolution.
We must have a political revolution! But we also much respect arcane rules of the Senate!
By November 2020 Democrats hopefully won't have to care about Moscow Mitch at all, but in the here and now I'll gladly and excitedly take any gun control measure that passes Congress that intends to prevent the loss of further life, yes.Look, I'm not a fan of Beto's prospects. yeah im sometimes not sure if this is a viable tactic. like clearly people striking can achieve actual policy results. The masses are going to Rise Up and demand that their elected leaders vote for stuff, remember? Even from deep red states!
nuBeto is an underrated genreNew!Beto is significantly more interesting than 2018!Beto AND ESPECIALLY Recent!Beto
Can you imagine Bernie being a crypto socialist and him going "ok capitalism is over" in the middle of his innaugural speecha lot of people are giving bernie the benefit of the doubt and assuming he doesn't want to show his hand until he's actually in power
I unfortunately think your latter point is correct, and that the Senate has insulated him.
I hope Beto has the sense to decline the VP job if offered it as the role is a terrible fit for his strengths. Beto is at his best when he speaks from the heart and without checking with anyone what he's allowed to say first, and that's not a privilege afforded to the Vice President.
