Thousands in the USA are still separated. Hundreds have been deported without being reunited with their kids. Families who should have had an opportunity to have their asylum claims heard and processed fairly were fucked over. It's fucking unfair.

Anyways, this year sucks. I spent all of January with a respiratory flu that caused me to wake up coughing uncontrollably, then my grandfather shot his head off in February, my "aunt" died in March very unexpectedly, and the rest has had monetary issues, my thesis stagnating, and now my cat of nearly 14 years dying slowly. In addition to all the political tumult, to the extent that I have completely adopted this song -
