So is everyone leaving the White House a good sign?

They were there so they can recreate this photo.

Freaking weird the VP and co left the white house after US military bases were attacked. Shouldn't they like be working? Not saying ordering attacks, but still...

It would help if our president or government made an actual formal announcement.
Unfortunately right out the gate, it was one of the first things to be reported tweeted about after the first strike.

Edit: It was tweeted from some Forbes contributor with zero sources. I shouldn't have said "reported." :s

What. The. Fuck?!? They need to shut down the speculation and fear by saying something. Don't let Trump give an address, but make a damned statement.

Asides from being an overwhelmed shithead coward, I think Tump was informed that any retaliation is inevitably going to result in lost US lives. He doesn't care if those people die, but Donnie wanted an unmistakable victory and something that won't tarnish his reputation. That's the only thing preventing the dumb war from commencing tonight.

This is incredibly unorthodox. So what, we're just gonna be left to speculate until the morning. That's just asking for the spread of further misinformation and rumore

Considering Trump's history of taking the worst action possible - if leaked reports are anything to go by, he chose to assassinate this general when that was literally being proposed as the worst thing to do in a list of responses - are we really to believe Trump is going to take this and let it be that?

He's already said his Twitter responses now count as announcements to congress on military policy and has implied in the past that he wouldn't make public announcements about what he'd do in order to not "inform" those he would target militarily. Him potentially not making a response, then, should be one where we assume this type of response is being pushed.

The U.S. has plenty of standoff options that wouldn't put personnel at risk. Let's hope somebody talked him off the ledge and urged restraint.
