Wow. Stay safe everyone that lives in that area.

What was that explosion in the last tweet of the OP? Power line?

Makes the typhoon that hit us in South Korea a couple weeks ago even more trivial.

Don't die out there.

Damn, this is horrifying. This absolutely needs to be used as a wakeup call to take worldwide action against global warming.

Inb4 everyone forgets about it in a few days.

Fuckin' hell, it's just one catastrophe after another in Japan :/ They have to endure so much. Hope for as little casualties as possible.

My wife is on the phone to her aunt who is in the middle of this. Crazy stuff, really worried for her. Japan can't catch a break.

The airport is an artificial island.

I spent the first half of my life in Florida and got to experience Hurricane Andrew first-hand living in Ft. Lauderdale.

I've been living in Japan for about 17 years now and the typhoons here are pretty low-key compared to what we had back home, but today, PHEW! I'm in Osaka now and we lost power a few times. I had to call the fam into the bathroom where we chilled out with some Uno and quite a few uneasy smiles. Been awhile since a storm has actually made me worried, but today was the real deal.

Holy shit, this is horrifying. One of my friends is lucky. He just returned from Osaka a few days ago.

Stay inside, stay safe, Japan Era.

I think this is how my family and I perish in the next decade. Nature never gave a fuck before but now she's getting pissed.

I'm glad you're ok. I worry about Japan with typhoons because when I was living there, most were blasé or casual with them and didn't take them seriously. My wife's aunt says it's passed where she is in ibaraki and she's fine which is a relief. Neighbours still had a tarp on the roof from the rain event earlier this year and that blew away so she's looking after them.

Seeing people out and about with the debris flying around is crazy, delivering pizza is another level.

Why would you order domonios in the middle of a typhoon. I can't stop laughing. They should have closed shop.

Great Customer service.

We're getting pretty strong gusts of wind out here in west Japan but I haven't experienced anything too crazy yet. Rain is on and off. Not sure if the worst is yet to come, but it seems to be picking up.

Stay safe, JapanERA!

I don't know if they have the 30 minutes rule over there, but it's a good day to get free pizza if they do.

Lmao......I know I shouldn't laugh but it takes a lot of dedication to go out there in a typhoon and deliver pizza.

What's sad is that a car drive right past a d didn't offer help. I would at least stopped the car to see if the man was okay.

I'm confused, did people not know about this typhoon ahead of time or did it gain power quickl

That's what I'm confused about as well. I knew about the typhoon at two days before it touched down.

Really crazy. Stay in and stay safe. That dominos guy must have just been thinking why the fuck are you just filming me though.

The thing that drives home the scary is you can hear the wind bht not all the giant objects smashing into things.
