I'll be seeing Castle Rock, and I'll check out Mr. Sunshine and The Outpost.

But at this point, anything is going into my backlog, cause I'm behind on so many shows.

I'll be watching Sharp Objects, continuing to watch Me, Myself and I, and also watching Outcast. I recently read the novel that Sharp Objects is based on, but this was before I even knew that they were making a TV show based on it. And Me, Myself and I was actually pretty good before it got put on hold.

Outcast...I forgot that one even existed. Why'd it take it so long to come back to North America? The Wikipedia page says the second season aired elsewhere in 2017.

If you haven't watched The Disappearance, do so. It's a good, Canadian miniseries. I'm glad that it got picked up elsewhere, because it deserves it.

Will check out Sharp Objects cause AA and I enjoyed big little lies

Super hyped for Castle Rock.

Mostly everything else will be catching shows I haven't started yet (handmaiden's tale is #1 on the list, followed by killing Eve) unless I see people here raving about any new shows

I would watch Castle Rock, but A) I can't get Hulu and B) I'm starting to read Stephen King's massive library of work and fear that the show would ruin things for me.

I finished Luke Cage S2 the other day. That was truly a top tier comic book show. Strong plot, strong motivations, interesting developments. Such a huge improvement over the first season.

And now I just finished Legion S1. Incredible show. Up there among the best comic book shows. I'm afraid to start the second season though since I heard it dropped the ball.

Will finish The Expanse S1 next and then put it on the backburner since I'm not that interested or invested in the characters and plot. It needs that final push, which I hear the second season brought but I got so many other shows I rather watch at this point.

After that I'm gonna finish the latest seasons of Gotham and Riverdale, since I fell behind during one of the breaks. And in the mean time I must get through Stranger Things S2 as well, I'm really liking it though.

Sharp Objects and Castle Rock and OITNB. Thanks Ratsky for the new thread and thanks as well for recommending Patrick Melrose around in other threads earlier. It's definitely the best show I watched so far this year and I was going to skip it before that.

Sharp Objects - Amy Adams is awesome and the show looks nice and creepy.
GLOW - I wasn't crazy about the first season, but it was fun enough.
Castle Rock - Hopefully this will be as good as Mr. Mercedes.

Some older ones:

A Very English Scandal

Got to finish The Expanse and Westworld also.

Not a lot of new stuff to watch so I'll be trying to catch up on shows I fell behind on recently. The 100, Westworld, Modern Family, Silicon Valley, The Handmaid's Tale and maybe some others. Working through Buffy/Angel for the first time too. As for new stuff, definitely Sharp Objects.

So I guess I could be watching Heathers? HBO Nordic has it listed for a July 11 release, which is a day after its intended US release date before it got pulled (again). It's also very recently updated with it saying that it will air double episodes. So that might be a thing.

But speaking of "might be a thing" HBO Nordic has also pushed some fuckery about a secret "something huge" hitting the service on the 16th this month. The only clue is that it is a comedy. It's likely from HBO proper (even if HBO Nordic does release shows from Showtime, FX, Syfy, Hulu, and some others). So that might also be a thing, my best guess would be another Andy Samberg mockumentary both his previous ones for HBO opened in July.

Looks like the only show on the list I'm watching this month is Anne with an E, though I might give Sacred Ground a shot. This is excellent since I still have so much CW stuff to catch up on Netflix as well as several other shows... I will never finish watching tv...

Looks like a catch-up month for me, with just Sharp Objects and whatever Anne I absorb through osmosis while the kids watch it. Unless it's not coming to Netflix Canada until after it airs on the CBC?

Has anyone watched the new CBS All Access show Strange Angel? It has a pretty unique concept about the beginning of rocketry in the 1930's mixed in with devil worship. I myself haven't seen it, I'm watching so much that I want some opinions before I bother.

Along with continuing shows and severe catch-up:

Anne With An E
Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee
Sharp Objects
Castle Rock
Orange is the New Black (need to catch up, though)

And I might check out Snowfall's first season before the second starts. I remember the reviews weren't so hot in the original run, but might check and see if it catches my interest!

I'm sort of viewing The Outpost from afar, hoping it ends up being the next The 100. Meaning elevating its inherent low budget cheesiness by being both fun and vicious in equal measure.

Anyone else think Wynonna Earp is worth trying/catching up on? Syfy has surprisingly a bunch of shows in the past few years I've loved so I am intrigued. Is it too much for me to hope for it to be a good Buffy style western? Should I temper my expectations? I don't see a thread on it around.

And watched Patrick Melrose E2
Holy shit it got really dark. Hugo weaving is fucking scary. With the great cinematography and acting, you can actually feel the fear he causes his wife and kid. It's rare to see a child actor do so well too. I'm definitely hooked now, what a great episode.

Yup. The first episode is good, but it's after the second one the show just absolutely shines. Such a terrific show, and I'm glad I decided to watch it on a weekly basis, I would not be able to take more than an episode per week.

I liked the original title, "One Day She'll Darken" more, but with Patty Jenkins (because of Monster) behind the camera and Chris Pine (because of Hell or High Water) in the front I'll check it out for sure.

OP, do you do this for every month? Amazing thread.

I've been doing monthly threads on ERA since the beginning of the year, but I was doing tri-annual Jan/Feb/March/Apr, May/June/July/Aug, Sep/Oct/Nov/Dec threads at the old place since 2011.

I haven't seen it, but it actually does have its fans within the critical community.

It'll be nice to have The Joel McHale Show back again. Fucking sucks that it's not weekly. The Soup was on almost every single week of the year.
