I'm still hoping after COVID is finally 'gone' there'll be purposeful rereleases of the films that never really got a chance to really be in the theater for everyone.
I've heard mixed reports on what actually happened, but my guess is they saw the big numbers Encanto did on D+ (it did ok but there was little word of mouth after its theatrical run) and the rising COVID levels and figured they could replicate Encanto without having to pay to market it twice.
