So Famitsu posted about a new game company called Too Kyo Games that will be revealing who they are and possibly what projects they are handling.

Famitsu apparently interviewed Yosuke Saito (Square Enix) about the creator of Too Kyo Games:

Update:

Gematsu translated details, more at the link:

https://gematsu.com/2018/09/mysteri...o-games-established-led-by-noted-game-creator

As a countdown to the live stream, Too Kyo Games will be publishing videos of other game creators who know its own noted creator well. The first video features Square Enix's Yosuke Saito, who says, "Actually, (redacted) asked me for advice about this a while ago, like 'But wouldn't this be good? Wouldn't this be good?' Since what I told that person then is connected to now, if I can get back like 10 percent or so, it will all be worth it. Please make sure everyone has fun." Saito seems to be joking about giving this creator advice on starting up a company, and now wants a cut in return.

The company's first tweet describes the studio as "Too crazy games, anime, and entertainment, from Tokyo to the world." The Japanese description of "too crazy" used in the tweet is "狂イ過ギ," which itself is very eccentric. It is only speculation at this point, but the eccentric wording combined with Yosuke Saito being one of the creators who knows Too Kyo Games' noted creator well seem to indicate that the company is led by NieR director Yoko Taro. Saito previously worked closely with Taro on NieR: Automata.

Tokyo RPG Factory the successor?

Would be funny if it's indeed just a rebranding of Tokyo RPG Factory to TooKyo Games.

But similar to the name Tokyo RPG Factory, TooKyo Games doesn't exactly communicate fresh and innovative ideas, actually the names imply samey products.

Note: (Machine translation)

Also, prior to the live broadcast, people who know well the creators of TOOKYO GAMES got video comments. As a countdown to live broadcast, we will release a part of the video. Who is the person being told in the picture? While imagining, I'd like you to be looking forward to the live broadcast.

They're interviewing people who seem to know the creators of TooKyo Games.

There hasn't been confirmation that they're owned by Square Enix.

Isn't Saito the producer of NieR?

...a new studio for Yoko Taro?

The Whois gives us that the website was registered by Sound Prestige Records, which is Masafumi Takada's label... I don't think he has ever worked with Taro

With that name for the company it really wouldn't be strange if it's Yoko Taro's.
SE seems to be giving a lot of creators their own studios this days. If only they would hire Yasumi Matsuno back and give him his own studio too and let him start producing Ivalice games. :\

So, Yoko Taro spun out a new company.

Oh, watch it inexplicably be Shinji Mikami starting another company (Takada was composer on God Hand, Vanquish and The Evil Within).

... It's almost definitely still Taro.

EDIT: Oh, to throw out another person it won't be (because it's Taro), but the Takada connection and just being a weird dude who would do something like this: Kodaka, the creator of Danganronpa.

That does sounds like Taro all right, very interesting. I'd be very glad if that's the case, the guy deserves a more stable job (though given his work ethic...)
After Yosuke Saito, a video with Goichi Suda.
well, if it's not him then it's still someone worth checking out for sure.

I think we all agree that Yoko Taro should not run a company.

it's Saito showing up, Taro is working on an unannounced project that they hired people for, and the name fits, good chance it really is a Taro studio.

That'd be goddam amazing.

People also have to keep in mind that it could be a studio like Mistwalker or Project Sora, heading the design but still needing other studios to actually do the work.
Which would fit more with someone like Taro or similar.
