The post says complicit in child pornography. While they did set up the event, I don't believe they've been sharing or had any part in the sharing of CP on 8chan. Unless there was a development I missed.
I support that post, but there's no need to label Nordic of things they aren't guilty of. It makes it seem like a vendetta.
Complicit means that they have actively being part of creating or consuming cup (or enabled). I don't see that here.
When you refer to this as "virtue signalling", I hope you take a moment to consider that a member of ResetEra opened up in the THQ Nordic thread about how they had been a victim of child pornography, and how the videos of their own sexual abuse were distributed on the website that THQ Nordic promoted.
I buy many of these games and don't support that crap at all. Anyone that tells you that should just go on your ignore list.

Barely any at all. Most people has simply lumped it with those numerous other poorly thought out marketing stunts that publishers have been up to over the years, and from what i understand posting about it anywhere other than here will mostly get you laughed at, or even labeled as a troll.

Maybe, and I know this might sound crazy, the user gives a shit about what happened and how most gamers are willing to sweep stuff like this under the rug. We can see it in the FGC, to abusive consumer targeting, to stuff like this.
Talking about THQ games isn't against the rules or anything. Users are all more than welcome to be happy and discuss their upcoming stuff.
Users are also more than welcome to post their concerns, remind others of what happened, and respond to "u mad?" drive-bys and "I bought Darksiders am I a Nazi" idiotic nonsense.

They had a strong showing but I can't in good conscious support that publisher anymore. I don't think I'll ever look at their games the same way, knowing that they caped for a site that was partially responsible for the murder of 51 members of my community.
Best of luck to the devs who had no part of that shit show though, and I don't begrudge anyone who continues to support them. You do you.

I really feel like thq nordic needs a better statement or do something because this continues to haunt them at every turn. CD project red no matter you feel about them responded to thing attached to them and have adapted to an extend (I think this is the first time you can make a transgender character in a aaa video game but I could be wrong).
What sucks with thq is because its q publisher that's alot of games attached to this mess. Again I side with the boycotts it's just they've sat on this so long i don't know if its fixable. Also for those waiting for the takes, congrats you played yourselves

Of all the games shown and announced at Gamescom, THQN's made me the most excited, so I'm glad they won. It's definitely still really, really bad they did the AMA, but that's not the devs fault who are making great games.

They don't need to because people ultimately don't give a shit because good video games matter more to them than if a company associates with white supremacists. They just won an award at one of the biggest gaming shows in the world despite it "haunting" them.

They have continued to act like promoting a site that was known for child pornography, and almost immediately afterwards became the primary outlet for live streaming videos of mass murder, isn't a big deal. Just a regular everyday whoopsie.

Don't know if people aren't aware due to poor coverage of the incident and they're just happy about the return of B games, or if they prioritize their games and don't care. Either way this is not surprising.

As already stated earlier in this thread, this is the only place where people still care and combined with this site's already bad reputation among the general gaming public (i'm actually quite convinced that there are people out there who think Era is to Neogaf what 8chan was to 4chan, as ridicules as that might sound) most people in the company probably believe that Lars official apology was enough.

I am really surprised. All their games look extremely low budget and uninteresting. Why would fans vote for them? I am not even considering the 8chan debacle, I am guessing most don't care or don't know since there was not a lot of coverage on gaming sites at the time.
