The Typical American Lives Only 18 Miles From Mom

When our Parents pass (hopefully man, many years away), then we may move. Right now it's about 12 miles to my parents and 15 miles to hers.

Our jobs are 45 minutes in opposite directions though....which sucks, but we had to pick a middle point.

I like that my children, and us, get to see our families on a regular basis.

I live at home with Mom now, and will be moving soon to .... Room with Mom.

In my defense I had to press the pause button on my life because I spent the last 5 years caring for my grandma who had cancer and dimentia and I didn't really push to get paid for it until last year. May she rest in peace. But uh, there's a CVS literally a 3 minute walk from the condo we're moving to so maybe I can get a job there.

2,636 miles for me and this does not please my mom.

4 or 5 miles away. It's where I spend most of my weekend.
