I really wish the option for original graphics had been implemented in the Perfect Dark XBLA port because while I can let most of the aesthetic changes slide, I can't reconcile how they butchered Joanna's face.

I'm more irritated with what they did to Cassandra. Their heads are shaped completely differently.

He's the first NPC on Pelagic II. Walks past during the cutscene. In the XBLA version, you have illustrious celebrities such as... Peter Molyneux instead. They most likely couldn't do it for legal reasons, one of the original face models was Shigeru Miyamoto, for one.

You can also tell they did not touch the physics engine as they don't even attempt to sync physics objects in online, so when you're playing multiplayer over the internet, you can't move ammo boxes with explosions/bullets and the hovercrates are locked in place on the maps that have them.
What's the opposite of a speed run - I've done one of those :D
360 version of Perfect Dark is great also, does anyone play it online?
Yeah, I forgot about this. I can forgive it if including it was going to affect the rest of the netcode, which turned out pretty smooth (in deathmatch, at least - co-op/counter-op are lagfests).
Just found a very interesting video from November where David Doak (one of the original developers) talks about the development of Goldeneye. Very fascinating watch. Even includes old photos from inside of Rare's HQ from back during those days! Pretty crazy to see as Rare was such a secretive company back in the day. Very cool to see this kind of stuff.
Yeah, I already had this in the OP. But thanks for bringing it up again, it's great stuff. :-)
Oh, dammit! I had a feeling I saw this video posted somewhere on this site before. Turns out it was this thread lol. Sorry! Should've paid more attention. -_-

What staff would MS need on board for y'all to be assured that a Perfect Dark sequel would succeed?
Does Goldeneye have this cheat? For some reason, I could've sworn it did, but it wasn't on my cheats list. Maybe I didn't unlock it yet? Really wish it had this cheat as well.
