The Demon's Souls remake is not comparable to the RE2/RE3 remakes so it's completely understandable one dismisses DS but not the REmakes. The former seems to be the same game with way better graphics while the latter is similar to a reimagining. The RE games are also substantially older games so that makes an even bigger difference in perception.

I don't really see why the age of the games matter. It's still over a decade old and stuck on ancient hardware, with no remasters or re-releases since the original launch in 2009. No one dismissed Shadow of the Colossus as 'just a remake of a PS2' game either, so again, I don't understand why people are dismissing Demon's Souls. Given how the sub-genre it sparked has blown up since it's spiritual successor, having a game like this at launch is a huge deal and it's going to be a brand new experience for a lot of people.

Resurrecting this thread because I didnt see any other thread on the PS5 launch games. so far I've really liked all of the launch games. Add backwards compatibility and this is one of the best console launch line ups I can remember.

With past console launches like the PS4, I would play because it's a new console and you play whatever you can find. This time I'm really Enjoying all of the first party games so far.
