I think it starts today
Today I think.
Throw Gaben an emailI wish Microsoft and Valve on making Windows and Steam better to use for gaming on tablet PCs. Like, why there is no built-in on OS level support for custom touchscreen gestures? And why Steam allows creating an on-screen overlay with buttons when you are streaming games to android phones, but not allowing to use this feature on the desktop? I'm occasionally gaming on windows based tablets since 2013, but even now, after Switch success, support for tablet PCs are still laughable and baffling. It's a huge missed opportunity, having your Steam library ready to use on a portable device is a huge deal for me, my tablet is basically HOG/indie machine, but with external software, you can create on-screen buttons and most games are perfectly playable this way (if you have enough performance to run them of course). MS shouldn't have to start chasing streaming while forgetting about improving native solutions for portable gaming.
MS's response would: 'Play on xbox, you're welcome!'I wish Microsoft and Valve on making Windows and Steam better to use for gaming on tablet PCs. I wonder why FC4 never goes above 60% though (FC5 bombed?)..I think this is the lowest price I've ever seen.

500 rubles is super cheap for not even a year old Ubisoft's flagship game.
Fairly sure 5 is the best selling one in the franchise.
I guess so, even FC3 doesn't get discounts this big, and it was released about a thousand years ago.
Evergreen like Nintendo games 😁I guess so, even FC3 doesn't get discounts this big, and it was released about a thousand years ago.
LOL, I think at the time 599 was probably the biggest price in Steam. Good times.
Amen.I was never really that big of a fan of Borderlands 1 or 2, the meme "humour" did nothing for me, but Tales from the Borderlands is legitimately sharp. Owned it for years, finally playing it. Excluding animations, it still looks pretty clean on PC at 5120x2160. I hope Gearbox hired whoever wrote Tales for Borderlands 3. Also,FionaLoader Bot is bae.
Then it's really strange why are they selling it so cheap. Oh well, guess I have to try it for this price. Didn't really enjoy 4 and Primal. To put it in perspective, FC5 did over 4 times on launch on Steam than FC4 did
Baron von Loathsome figured you'd appreciate this as we await another Arcade collection from Capcpom
I haven't been keeping up with the Apex Legends threads; is there reason to think it's coming in lieu of Titanfall 3?
Just have to keep your eyes open. I got it 75% off at Humble plus another 10% because of the monthly subscription.
Thanks for the impressions. I backed the game on Kickstarter as well and received my key but I think I'll wait for some more patches (or even for v1.0) before playing it.I put a few hours into Praey for the Gods this weekend. While it is still pretty rough around the edges, they have a very strong base. My experience with Shadow of the Colossus is beating the first boss during my PlayStation Now trial, and Praey is definitely influenced by Shadow. But it also has a lot of mechanics from Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. You have to gather resources to upgrade equipment, you can cook food to restore health, and there is a hunger, heat, and sleep meter you need to keep an eye. Those meters are not too punishing. I did go to an area that my clothes were not warm enough for, and froze to death.
Performance wise it's okay. I have an i5-4690k and GTX 980, running at 1440p. It stays above 60 fps when there aren't too many particles on screen. When there is like fire and a lot of snow, it drops down pretty significantly. But I expect it will smooth out over time as they continue to update it. But yeah, I think it's going to scratch that Shadow of the Colossus itch on PC. I'm really glad that I backed it.
The game has a built-in feedback option in the menu, so I've been sending a lot of feedback. I think they have the gameplay loop down pretty well, they just need to polish it. But yeah, I think this could be a surprise indie hit this year, if they can improve on it quite a bit. I think it will be a slow burner. Thanks for the impressions. I played my PS3 mostly this weekend, besides being busy and only gaming a couple of hours...
Has there been any word on AMD's follow up to the Ryzen APUs? Eventually i'm going to need to replace my pc and in a few years I'm going to go as small and as quiet as possible. If I can get the cpu and gpu on the same chip, all the better.

Not a time frame, no. Just that it will be the APU powering next gen consoles, and that it will be Zen 2 plus Navi.
It's absolutely a conflict of interest.I haven't really written about it, but I feel it's weird, maybe even unethical that Gaylonkin or however his name is spelled is receing a ton of money for keeping SteamSpy going while working on EGS.
Just....feels super weird. Like a conflict of interest sort of thing.

He is also essentially getting crowdfunding for corporate espionage, which doesn't sit well with me at all.
While I agree, this falls on whoever is patreoning him. Why are they paying him? I guess he should close his patreon but its free money for him.
The whole doom and gloom narrative he's been pushing these last 2+ years makes so much more sense now.I haven't really written about it, but I feel it's weird, maybe even unethical that Gaylonkin or however his name is spelled is receing a ton of money for keeping SteamSpy going while working on EGS.

Are you downsampling? I'm assuming you are from these screenshots :XI was never really that big of a fan of Borderlands 1 or 2, the meme "humour" did nothing for me, but Tales from the Borderlands is legitimately sharp. Not to mention, this is despite Galyonkin himself admitting that due to GDPR changes, it won't be accurate at all.
Yes, the Ryzen 2000 series is Zen+. The Ryzen 3000 chips are Zen 2. It's confusing hahaZen 2 plus navi..... I'm confused. We had the original zen, the refresh and AMD is still calling the upcoming zen cpus "zen 2"?
Ugh.
Maybe all this just started the day Valve made it harder for him to collect good data via Steamspy. Everyone spoke how it was good for the privacy of customers, but Galyonkin knew it was nothing but a personal attack against him, against the very thing he created. An attack against all developers!I haven't really written about it, but I feel it's weird, maybe even unethical that Gaylonkin or however his name is spelled is receing a ton of money for keeping SteamSpy going while working on EGS.

My main issue is that he even after he said the numbers are wrong, he never points out to the big mistakes his logarithm makes, only those result that were good.I remember sifting through the supporter-exclusive data around the time SI announced that FM2018 had hit 1m sales. SteamSpy's best estimate had it at about half that.
Fuuuuuuuuck is Rime a bad game. Genuinely cannot believe anyone slogged through that and gave it a glowing review. 80% on Metacritic apparently. Utterly baffling. I gave up in my fourth hour when I saw there would be at least two more areas I'd need to bring myself to complete.
Its coz its an artsy 'experience' more than a game. I actually didnt mind running through it, took one afternoon.
I've enjoyed artsy games like Proteus, Abzu, and others. But the very act of playing Rime just felt so laborious and meaningless at every point. Movement is painfully slow, the camera is the same, and the puzzles are barely puzzles. Definitely not for me.
