Tropical Freeze had a clever design of levels with a careful and progressive introduction of mechanics. But for me, it was a really short game.
Retro, after finishing Metroid Prime 4, has to show the world they can create the best 2D Donkey Kong platformer. Take the design principles of the second game and expand it on more worlds and levels maybe with various atmospheres never seen in the saga.
