Finally :P

Well, after all this time and all these topics, we've got the final roster and (possibly?) the final list of modes. It's been a ride.

The roster is great overall but those final reveals really took the wind out of the hype sails. Spirits doesn't look all that interesting to me. Looks like a mix between Special Orders (which I didn't like) and Event Match (which has been very hit and miss). Adventure Mode seems to basically be Spirits but with a world map. Feeling a bit bummed about the singleplayer content because I don't want to just play the main Smash mode over and over.

Looking forward to being confused as to who's posting when everyone's avatar is the same :P

Fatal Frame gets an Assist Trophy. That means Koei Tecmo technically has a little toe in the door.

That means I can continue stanning for Ryu Hayabusa!

Back to the safe zone where I can now finally discuss just how glorious Incineroar's moveset looks, like holy shit, it blew away my expectations, look at them graps! I think he even squeezed in my personal fave with a very swift chokeslam down throw.

Also the treehouse footage showing off K.Rool's tools, a throw that straight up dunks you into a pitfall state, the SPEED of the helicopter pack, I am in flavour country.

I gave advertising too much credit. I learned my lesson. And I'm usually too pessimistic they say... life is telling me to be even more wow.

So Xenoblade X is not gonna show up more and Kosmos is dead. LET'S GO !!

Oh well at least the awful fake banner was really fake. That's a relief.

I won't be discussing possible DLC characters too much, because it's basically a recipe for disappointment. I'll only say:

-I hope Elma is in
-I hope Rex or other Xc2 character is in
-I hope some ARMS rep is in

-Fuck the plant

So I'm maining Ken over Ryu. He's moves are cooler.

Piranha Plant is rad.

Don't care for spirits, but Adventure Mode looks neat.

And I'm pre-loaded already, along with the DLC pass. Don't normally buy DLC passes, but smash 4 DLC was great for me, so I'll bite for the early discount. Also last couple season passes were pretty great for me so I felt like risking it

While Chibi Robo doesn't have a shot anymore, Elma and Wonder Red are still in the running. Hopefully the DLC gives them some love

As much as I disliked the direct, Incineroar looks way cooler than I thought he would. I love the wrestling poses, and how fluffy he is.

Incineroar is the first Pokémon newcomer since Trainer I've been excited for (helps I actually like Incineroar as a Pokémon). I love how much personality it has too, in stark contrast to Lucario and Greninja.

Shadow and Issac both wound up as Assist trophies. Ray Mk III is a costume. My DLC hopes have all pretty much been taken out back and shot old yeller style. Andy from Advance Wars is pretty much the only DLC hope I got left, and I'd say his odds are pretty slim to none.

Oh well, at least story mode sounds pretty cool, so I got that out of the direct.

I was waiting for this thread to reopen. I didn't really like the discussion being spread out among multiple threads.

Y'know, everyone would've been happy if the King K. Rool and Incineroar reveals were swapped. I genuinely don't know what the marketing department was doing.

I'm so happy with Piranha Plant. I didn't think we'd get a Wii Fit Trainer-level troll character this time, and I'm so happy to be wrong. I totally understand why other people are disappointed, but I really loved that reveal.

I just pre-purchased the game along with the Fighter Pass. It's downloading now, and it's making me excited even though nothing's changed and the game's still over a month away. I'm such a sucker.

I was planning on writing a big summation of my thoughts and disappointment with the Direct, but honestly I'm over it.

Still holding out hope for Geno DLC.

I'm definitely pissed that Xenoblade got shafted. Other than that I'm happy with the roster in the end.

Also don't forget guys that a Japanese tournament for the game is starting this weekend. Lots of footage coming.

Yeah. I got to say, it was refreshing to see such personality from Incineroar.

Love his poses too.
