I mean it will be the best. Some people want Reimu here and Ktotheroc wants Hayabusa. I want KOS-MOS and so do others. Hope it is real so we can all be happy.

Basically someone who used a cat picture on 4chan got Hero's and Banjo's codenames right and then someone with the same picture came back after and said that KOS-MOS was fighter 5 and Reimu and Hayabusa are the two after.
Thing is, there's no real proof that the two people are the same.
Personally I'm okay with KOS-MOS and Reimu so I wouldn't mind if it were real. Shame about Ryu 2 though.

You know what would be funny? If in the end they had no Smash reveal at all in the Awards, and Nintendo just decided to show other things, while saving Smash for a January Direct or something

The rumor of the day is that it was probably Lloyd and you're an idiot if you think it's a weeb character like KOSMOS but also it's definitely not Lloyd and it's either KOSMOS or Nightmare

Yeah I don't realistically see KOS-MOS over a lot of characters. Lloyd I could see as possiblity though.

I have other announcements to look forward during the awards (hopefuly a new Crash game) so night won't worthless for me anyway. I personally do think Nintendo will bring a Smash reveal yet again for the show, but wouldn't be the end of the world if they didn't
Yup. I'm debating whether or not I'm going to watch TGA for that exact reason.
I don't know how much putting up with Geoff Keighley sucking up to Kojima is worth it.

I don't mind watching The Game Awards either.
Of course, it's mostly for the announcements, but the music performances are usually neat too (Imagine Dragons + Koji Kondo in 2014, Mick Gordon's Doom performance in 2016, etc). Sometimes i'm invested in the awards themselves (2017 in particular), but it takes a backseat.
is Capcom cup right before or right after tga? I could see them saving the announcement until then

I honestly do like the Game Awards. Like most things in gaming, crass commercialism and "advertisements as content" cling to the whole thing like barnacles on a whale, but there's a lot of nice, relatively classy stuff sprinkled through there - gaming legacy awards, a full orchestra, good stuff like that. It's like a bonus E3 near the end of the year... like, even without Smash, there's bound to be some good announcements.
