Maybe they have another collection planned for a possible updated release for the Switch Pro in March 2021?
Maybe with Galaxy 2? (Which would be bullshit btw)

I will probably get the 3D Collection but disappointed Galaxy 2 is left out.

I was hoping M64 got a Galaxy engine tier remake at the least, the game is such a legendary title and deserving of a better re-release.

Galaxy's and Sunshine's art style holds up really when up-rendered, that's enough to get me to purchase it but Sunshine should have been 60fps.

C+ effort, Nintendo.

This is literally the dumbest shit I've ever seen. They've taken fomo and artificial scarcity and applied it to fucking physical and digital games. Holy fucking shit.

This is such short notice that preorders will probably be limited. Any idea when those might go up on Amazon, Best Buy, etc?

A Super Mario 64 remake would've been my most anticipated game this year. Instead it's just a version I could play on PC for many years now via emulation. Amazing Nintendo.

I was hyped, hoping for a major overhaul of 64 and Sunshine, and the inclusion of Galaxy 2. Got none of those unfortunately.

No Galaxy 2 is a huge letdown since it's the best 3D Mario imo. Vaulting the games is also a shitty move but I guess Nintendo will do anything not to devalue their portfolio and keep it relevant (and keep charging accordingly).

PS. No QoL improvements for Sunshine is a huge letdown as well. That game has so much potential if given an appropriate makeover.

Only until March....better version released in Apr with MG2?

I was hoping there would be a handheld option for Galaxy, but should have known better. May wait to see if Walmart does the $10 off in store.

Gongaga
- 64 only gets a resolution bump
- No Galaxy 2
- 30 fps for 64 and Sunshine
- No new QOL improvements for Sunshine

I'll pass.

Why the hell would they exclude the BEST Mario game in Galaxy 2. Are they batshit insane?!

Also, the fact that Mario 64 is simply a barebones port is hilarious given the resources Nintendo has access to.

barebone ports, no extra features, galaxy 2 is missing and limited availability. and probably full price.

Limited time

For an online version of the game

This is downright disgusting. Forcing people to buy it at full price because they will be taking it out from the store soon.

Nintendo is nuts sometimes, but this is some Activision level of shit right here

Galaxy 2 not being there is a massive loss, damn... I'm still excited but why not include the best Galaxy?

The only way where they could convince me to buy it is if they tell me they will add Sunshine 2 for free at a later date in 2021 through a separate download.

Nice move

Forcing through a limited date for an insanely high priced port is the exit. I'm pretty sure they will maintain the fixed snap angles for the right stick in Mario 64 in 2020, wait and see...

I can totally see them removing the collection in March and reintroduce each title individually for $39,99 due to "massive fan demand"

Everyone disappointed that Galaxy 2 isn't in the collection, this was rumored since March.

Anyway, kind of disappointed that Super Mario 64 didn't get more of a remake but I'll still buy it.
