Equivalent to a Super Soldier though? With diet and exercise only? Nah. Even with comicbook science.
Don't comics use "peak human" to handwave why non-superpowered people are doing superpowered things?

Like we'll probably just have to accept that Sam is going to do some impossible things in FatWS and say "peak human."

It's always crazy how Sentry came to be. Really wonder if we'll ever see him in the MCU. It's not like he's just a Supes clone or anything, Bob Reynolds may be just as interesting as the Sentry if they introduced him.

Well we're talking comic, not MCU though, right? Depending on the continuity (obviously not Ultimate) Cap isn't technically superhuman other than aging slower, he's just ridiculously peak human and the serum keeps him that way until it wears off. So aside form the aging slower/better thing, it's not totally insane to just work hard enough to stay fit as hell. Being in good shape would make you visibly age better anyway.

Yeah if you rope in the new expanded Weapon Plus lore there's a lot of wild "super soldier" attempts outside of the serum.

Can't wait to watch this in theaters some where in the future.

Wasn't pretty much all WW2 Superheroes on some juice or serum? Aside from Namor that is.

Gonna be hilarious when this thread is bumped first thing on Friday morning, I'm gonna guess April 2nd, and spoils the dramatic reveal of the FatWS episode for everyone.

Poor girl, you accidentally kill one person and the government wants to cut off your arm
They wanted to cut off her arm as soon as they met her. MVP's death just gave them an excuse. Plus an opportunity to try to extract whatever serum MVP had surely been juicing on.

Because the whole point of Avengers: The Initiative was to show that Captain America is always right, government oversight of superheroes is a bad idea and independent vigilantes with godlike powers are just inherently better people. I still feel bad for Cloud 9...
