Seems pretty clear.
removing 2 gen old content for visibility, ok. but removing the wishlist, themes, avatars, etc? why?
They will when they add those games on PS Now.It will never stop blowing my mind how hostile Sony is toward their legacy software. The PS3/PSP/Vita libraries are way too good to be swept under a rug. They should be celebrating them!

Thank God for the Vita homebrew crew
Sony is confirmed ass for the umpteenth time
Oh yes, I see what you meanOn the Xbox it works ok, but on their webstore/mobile it still looks like this: https://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/
Where did you get this from?
But you can still buy that software from the consoles themselves. This just affects the web store. I mean it's bad, but not that bad.
I'm not happy about the removal of the purchase option but happy about the elimination of technical debt. It is very much known that they have been struggling with the shoddy implementation of PSN and its database structure since the beginning of the ps4 days. This decision will have a technical reason behind it. People who think Sony does this to annoy ps3 or vita owners are moronic kidsWhat? Why should we be happy that they're removing PS3 and Vita games from the web store?
To be fair, Sony haven't even officially announced this yet... so unless they are dropping the info today it'll be less than 11 days.So if that press release is correct we got 11 days of notice before this change. Nice. Couldn't even give us a month.
They don't seem to have a source for it either.
I wish that were it, but it's not.

I doubt it, a new store probably breaks the plugin. If it does work though, that would relieve a lot of my heartburn with this decision. Though I'd still like to be able to actually buy stuff.FUCK - hmm will PSDLE still work to allow you to look at your PS3 purchases using the website?
The PS3 PSN store isn't fit for purpose so would be near impossible to download everything you own easily...
ps3ud0 8)
My bet? The PS3 / PS Vita networks were built on a house of cards. It's one of the reasons that the username changes took so long.i am very bummed by this decision. Dunno why they are doing this tbh.
Yeah, that's not a source. I can easily recreate that image in 10 minutes. They have the press release there in an image with the caption "The information comunicated by SIE".

Cutting the cords from those systems will prevent the PS4 / PS5 from being held back.
nah, some people have a PSP to rip their umd stuff and then they transfer it over to their psp go, other's just well...Well, looks like my PSP go eBay listing definitely ain't selling now.
I thought the psp store was dead on platform? You can buy from your PSP.
This is for the web and mobile stores.
Have you received this message personally? Why are you so sure of its validity? Things like these are great to put in the article. The source is Sony communication with development partners. The change will occur later this month.
Clearly this is because they are going to start whitelisting PS3 games for PS5, and dont want any confusion on the webstore.
Clearly
I SAID CLEARLY
