So PS5 backwards compatibility is starting to look disappointing for those of us who own physical games

Anyone expecting to be able to play PS1,2,and 3 discs has only themselves to blame for their inevitable upset.

Basically.

The idea that PS1 discs could run on PS5 is especially ridiculous considering even PS4 can't even read CDs.

Half the games I play on my X1X are BC. Playing stuff like Portal 2, FFXIII and Fable in 4K via BC is an absolute dream.

Oh I'm not saying all games on BC are disappointing, just that BC is never as good as we all dream it will be. There is always some compromise. If we're lucky it's only one game that we hold dear that has minor issues, but often there are multiple titles that you're forced to let go.

Xbox's current BC is probably the best ever though - and definitely a huge check in favour for XSX.
