I don't know if I'd say they were owned so much as what seemed to be a genuine question leading into some fun with constituents/the internet at large.
There are some real mad lads and lassies in that conversation!I don't get what's funny or incredible, or how there's any "ownage" in any of this...
Yeah, that's not what happened at all. It's been a pretty weird night for Furry Twitter, but fuck her for googling someone's art and claiming it's hers.

It doesn't seem that way since the artist is actually credited in the image with the name of the piece.
Also, this is weird. I mean, yeah, we've basically infiltrated every level of society, but being publicly recognized by a government official is... Weird.
Yeah Poor Vinny lmao, I hope he talks about it.
Are you intentionally misinterpreting what happened? She didn't create it, claim to create it, or claim to own it. She found a picture she liked and said "I like this one, it can be me." Just like kids on the playground playing Power Rangers or whatever the fuck kids play these days, kids pick a fictional character for themselves. You don't need to gatekeep this hard. The artist is credited, but she still took art that wasn't made for her and said "Hey, this is my character!"
(Let's not even get into the misuse of the #FursuitFriday tag)
yeah, basically this
