What the fuck would the book even be about.

Missouri Senator Josh Hawley argues that big tech companies—Facebook, Google, Amazon, and Apple—represent the gravest threat to American liberty since the monopolies of the Gilded Age, and proposes a democratic, hopeful path forward.

We are currently living in the era of Big Tech. Mega-corporations like Google, Facebook, Amazon, and Apple wield enormous market power and political influence, which they deploy to curb competition and turn massive profits. But their power is more than just money. They exert startling control over Americans' daily lives by collecting more personal and private information from their users than any other company or government in the world. They regulate and influence the news and information consumers rely upon to make decisions about their families, politics, and health. They organize, manipulate, and direct the conversations that Americans are having.

In The Tyranny of Big Tech, the current senator and former attorney general of Missouri argues that these companies, once hailed as the future of America, are now what ails the country. They are threatening America's republican form of government. To reverse the concentration of these companies, which define our era, Senator Hawley argues that we must correct the mistakes of the progressive past and recover a more truly republican politics, a politics premised on the importance of the working man and woman. That means recovering the link between liberty and democratic participation. It means getting an economy that makes the working class strong, independent, and accountable to no one. It also means curbing the influence of corporate and political elites—and understanding how we got here in the first place.

This book is a revelatory glance at our current policies and how they are failing most Americans every day. Offering clear and concise solutions, Senator Hawley investigates the overwhelming impact these companies have on our daily lives—and what we can do to control it.

Good. Cry more, bitch.

It's heartening to see another douche blaming consequences on "the left." Oy

I'm sure he can figure out how to raise money from his sympathetic followers to fight a losing battle in court.

He's just trying to catch up on the condemning mobs trend, since he missed that boat yesterday.

That's capitalism for you
It's amazing how Republicans only believe in the concept of free market as long as it works in their favor.

Which basically goes with all things Republicans. They feel like companies being able to choose if not to publish something should only be applied to Democrats while Republicans should never be censored. Or, twitter better not censor us! Also, they better start censoring Democrats!

What the fuck would the book even be about.

Easy: the Looney's Left's and the SJW's political correctness disease, and the transformation of America into a socialist welfare state where any free speech and criticism is promptly censored by big government and cancel culture.

It's all the same bullshit template they like to regurgitate over and over. They are freedom fighters fighting for American patriotism, while simultaneously ignoring our tortured history of oppression and injustice.

Oh, get fucked Hawley. Once again these republican shits have zero idea what the first amendment actually covers.
I'm pretty sure he knows exactly what it covers, he's a lawyer after all. He is just willing to misrepresent a common expression, that holds emotional resonance for people, for his own ends. Misusing language like 'the first amendment' is ironically pretty Orwellian itself.

I'm really glad Hawley is getting taken to task now and his name is being associated with violence.

I was getting really annoyed a few weeks ago when left/lib-leaning people were speaking of him in a positive light because of him pushing for checks with Bernie, when it was obviously a stunt by him to get on the populous Trumpism train. Fuck this piece of utter shit.

To understand Josh Hawley's mindset, he desired so strongly to make the lives of people worse. This is his core, fundamental value, to bring down the quality of living for everyone in his country. He felt so strongly about this that he ran for one of the highest offices in the land and works hard every day to see his values reflected in your life.

He's so fucking dumb that he'd invoke notorious anti-fascist anti-propaganda proponent George Orwell.

I'd like to know more about this book. Like how much wood does he have to gnaw on daily to keep those teeth at bay?

Motherfucker absolutely knows what it covers. He went to Yale law school. He is being a dipshit on purpose to agitate his supporters into action.
