The acting is so hammy, it makes me think it's trying to be as over-the-top as possible. Especially the "prayer" scenes - it feels like the show as a whole is just ribbing Apple to see how much they'll allow. It's fun to watch for that reason alone.

There are some pretty creative ideas in this, society based on 4 senses. i really enjoyed it so far, especially the queen's performance

Yes, this show really picked up over the first 3 episodes. I think I will keep my subscription after the 7 day trial.

OP is a little sparse. How many episodes of this are there supposed to be? Just 3 or are they releasing them in bunches or what?

I have a really urgent question I can't find the answer to anywhere and I'm not that keen on watching to find out. If everyone in this world is blind, how do they realise these newborn twins can see?

Their father is an important driving force in the story so his impact factors in. Character's knowing or not knowing about the children's curse/power is a big part of the intrigue. The info is passed initially from a healer/priestess figure in the village in the first episode. Later they are able to physically retrieve items they could not otherwise retrieve with just sound.

episode 3 is pretty good. This show is pretty damn violent. Throat slashes is one thing that I am always uncomfortable wth (from seeing Braveheart) and man there are a lot of them lol.

And the babies being able to see and the village knowing etc., is all explained during the show. Don't want to spoil it, but everyone joking about it in the trailer etc., its not like that where they just announce that the babies can see lol.

The sound and visuals are just breathtaking even in just 1080p I can only imagine the HDR for this. Cant wait for Friday to watch new episodes of TMS, See, and For All Mankind. I wonder if they planned on just airing 3 episodes initially and how it's cut because as soon as the episode ends I wanted more from all 3.

The show is actually good. I just hope they slow down the story and get into the actual day to day life. The characters dont really feel like people yet despite great dialogue and acting.

All four of their initial releases are good. If they keep adding at least one new show a month, I can definitely see myself subscribing when my free year is up.

That fight in episide 3 is pretty much the best action sequence I've seen since John Wick 3.

I really like this show.

Episode 5 is wild!

This, along with For All Mankind, are shaping up to be two of best shows of the year for me.

Haven't seen the lastest ep yet but the series is quite enjoyable so far. But the locales are just stunning. Beautiful show. I do like the premise though so hopefully it continues to be good.

My wife looked at the TV when I was watching this so I explained the premise and her first response was "If they're all blind, why does Jason Mamoa have frosted tips?"

I'm enjoying this show, regardless.

Three episodes in now and this has been really good so far! The post apocalypse has never looked this good and I guess there's some poetic irony in the fact that these characters are unable to see the beauty around them heh. Anyway I guess there's not much talk about this due to it being confined to a new, somewhat obscure, streaming service? Glad this has that Apple money though as it does wonders for the production quality of the show. It can't be overstated how jawdropping the photography is at times.

Anyway eager to see where this goes next! Will probably watch episode 4 this evening.

Here to say that I just finished episode 7 and it's awesome. Kind of crazy this thread isn't more active. This is one of the best shows out right now.

I think it's make or break for this show on Friday. It seems like no one is really watching. But I hope they stick the landing in the same way GOT did in its first season to get people talking. I can't begin to imagine what comes next.

I'm really enjoying the ride though.

the journey they are on feels a little too guided now, would be a small complaint from me. traveling between locations was a momentous occasion in the early episodes, but now the world seems quite small.

the next episode could change the whole show, based on the cliffhanger ending of episode 7. we'll see.

Well there's a season 2 already at least. And I think Apple will just renew these shows till season 4-5 since they already invested in them they have no choice but to at least have the show end when the creator wants to end it I think.With such little content to cancel a show after 2 seasons etc., I think will look poorly.

I think it will. I have high hopes for it.

Not sure I like the once a week drip-feed format right now. Hopefully they can switch to releasing it all at once so I can binge season 2.

Yup. Show is great.

I believe everyone just assumed that the twins would remain babies and how would they know they are blind. And just made half ass jokes about it. But if you just keep an open mind I think people would be pleasantly surprised.

Agreed. I somehow thought the show would stay "small" but the world building as been A1. There's just so many plot lines going on now and I love it.

fight in the library was epic. I was 50/50 on if he was going to be blinded or thrown into the coal generator. I can't wait for fake gerallt to kill the queen
