"Patriotic games" is a good translation? Like, would any Russian game be worth it or does it have to praise Russia?

Didn't MW19 attribute the "highway of death" to Russia, when in actual historic fact it was the US military who executed actual war crimes in the real life version of that event?

Yeah, it's all fair game, to be honest.

So, MW19 was being shitty about US war crimes, therefore Russian players should pay more for videogames?
Makes perfect sense.

They want to encourage people to buy games made in and by Russia, so they raise the prices on everything else? Instead of lowering taxes on Russian made games or subsidising them they do this? Doesn't seem like a good deal for Russian consumers.

On paper, yes. In a pratical way, means propaganda. Pro Russia and anti-West.
So basically what the West is doing.

It's Russian government, they firmly believe that population exists to serve them, not the other way around lol.
