Give it a chance, it's a great game with flaws but very much worth a play through.I've had it sitting in my switch library for a year and ppl in this thread are calling the story and characters ass. I was expecting something like old school final fantasy but now I might not even bother
People always say this and maybe they should try to replay JRPGs from the 16bit era some time. The stories and characters back then were often way less developed than what you see in Octopath Traveler. In their defense, it was also partly because of the technological limitations at the time and sometimes poor localization due to the small text boxes and small localization teams. For me it's a comfty game that relaxes me. It hits the spot when I just want to play a classic RPG without caring for the story, characters and such. Just a old fashioned simple JRPG experience with a nice art style.
two things: where is the sequel and why didn't they use this engine to remake FF6?
Going by rationale in that switch icon thread, that makes it a perfect icon
This 100%It's more fun if you take your time with it. A bad game to marathon and rush thru.
