I don't get the late hate for Lethal Weapon 4. It seems like a set of people wanted a buddy cop film to somehow have a riveting, serious undertone. With a lasting story.

Its good entertainment, a good entry in the series, and people seemed to love it at the time. It debuted at #1. Is the second highest grossing entry in the series (after #3). And was the 10th highest grossing film of 1998. And that's in spite of a lot of troubles writing the script.

*Viewing all 4 together, #2 is my vote for the weakest entry. But that's still an entertaining buddy cop movie.
