Whoa that's huge. Very curious to see what changes it brings to the Gears franchise since it was pretty much fully his at this point.
Wow. Even though I stopped playing Gears after 3, I liked how he (one of the original devs) became the face of the franchise. Best of luck to him, can't wait to see where he goes and what he does next.
Wow. I love the work he has done in regards to diversity and accessibility. Blizzard got a great one.
honestly, doing a spin off set in gears, a open world RPG post apoc is doable and would be way more fascinating givent he world they built

eh. the last two gear imo have been so-so. whether that's rod's fault who knows.

Definitely with you there. Just based on the past 6 months or so with Gears 5 it definitely seems like the studio needs better leadership.
its a stabilization step for Diablo.
They need a "gears 4" for "diablo 4"
by that I mean, take everything everyone loved and remembered about diablo 2 and just polish it up and put out diablo 4.
Weird move. Probably a "I could stick around and see Gears 6 through for the next 3 years or I could get out now before the next gen craziness starts"move.
Anyway. Its clearly time for the Coalition to make the new IP the studio was created to do in the first place and Gears to go on the shelf. Wrap it up with Gears 6 and move on.
