Unsurprised that it might be a little overwhelming at first, with the amount of systems it has. Great first impressions!

Doesn't really sound like a complaint just an acknowledgement of how complex the game is. Onboarding everything can feel drawn out and still complicated no matter how hard they try

Mod support will make me play this game forever haha. Shit, I have an entire HD for all my Skyrim mods that I still play all the time. It's going to be glorious!

I know Bethesda said that this game had more QA and less known bugs then anything they've done so far - impressive if it's true.

Yeah, if i recall correctly, Pete Hines stated that Starfield is the cleanest Bethesda title ever. So, maybe there is some truth to it after all. We'll know soon enough.

Honestly if I was a dev, those would be the last things I'd say if it wasn't true, because it's one of those things that will be easily proven wrong or right and if it's wrong then it's massive egg on ya face for no reason.

He said if Starfield shipped back in June it would have shipped with less known bugs than any previous BGS game. And who knows How much more polish happened over the last few months.

I think he's saying it's one of those games where you very quickly realize that there is a TON of things to do and that there's so damn much to unfold that it takes some time until you settle into a groove.

This is why I was optimistic when they said it. If it wasn't true,. it's the kind of thing you'll get meme'd on for years AND every single review will mention it. If it's not true, then you just say nothing.

I still expect the game to have bugs, but hopefully just the non-vital bugs most games iron out after release. Even BG3, which is getting celebrated for it's polish, has presented a raft of relatively small bugs to me in my playthrough.

Pete Hines did say under oath that SF was an "Irresponsibly large game". The reviewers comments seems consistent with that.

I could see it being overwhelming if you're able to just start system hopping before the story kicks in and you have some 'direction' to what you're doing.

That sounds like music to my ears personally though. I'll take that kind of "overwhelming" any day, lol.

Yeah thats the whole point of a BGS game no? Like as soon as youre out of the tutorial you should be able to just go practically anywhere.

VNN has some connections and has been covering Bethesda games for a minute now, so it's legit. He's also very volatile when it comes to respecting devs wishes and will not hesitate to get his five minutes in the spotlight. Not surprised he's leaking things publicly (unless he thought his discord wouldn't leak, lol).

Seeing all the reviewers thoughts and impression on twitter and this thread is giving me so much hype. I was thinking it was gonna get a low 90s(90 or 91) for average score but now I think it might go up to the mid and maybe even upper 90s like Zelda TOTK and BG3.

Todd "the God" Howard might have done it again with another genre defining game after Skyrim.
