I did a few .chd conversions already, guess I can do the rest. It seems there might be some decompression slowdown with Dreamcast games which I won't be using anyway. PSX seems fine. This is a very outdated way to organize the game files and a very messy too.
The best and easiest way is to convert every iso to chd or a pbp file for multiple disc games.
You can convert to chd with a tool called chdman. For pbp use psx2psp.
Yes to scalp for profit upon release
You can convert to chd without compression. It seems there might be some decompression slowdown with Dreamcast games
What's the best solution for someone wanting to play everything from GB through to PS1 well? A nice interface that updates over WiFi is a must as well.

RG351V if you want a vertical device, RG351MP if you want a horizontal device with dual sticks. Use the latest 351Elec OS and you'll be set. What's the best solution for someone wanting to play everything from GB through to PS1 well? A nice interface that updates over WiFi is a must as well.

Had the RG351M for at least 8 months but never experienced troubles with the dpad though. The triggers weren't that great though.I would throw in the RGB Max 2 as well if you're looking for horizontal. The terrible dpad I had on my RG351M scared me off the MP since it's the same shell. The 351V doesn't have that problem though and is great if you're looking for a vertical.

I haven't tried ArkOs but 351elec is exactly what you are looking for. Very user friendly, everything is already setup. You can create your own playlist. Favorites is already build in.1. RG552 looks super legit, might pick one up next year depending on how I like the Steam Deck for emulation when mine arrives in Q1.
2. What's the most user friendly "it just works" type of firmware for the RG351 series? I think I'm going to get one set up for a friend as a Christmas present. Don't need anything fancy, just a good suite of emulators and preferably some slightly upgraded library navigation with favorites, recents, etc.

Good that Ross touches on ergonomics of playing 3d games.
I don't think there is any handheld that I truly enjoy playing like FPS's on, including the controllers for phones for gamepass stuff.
I still haven't finished the video by Russ but those trigger are so far my biggest gripe with it. Those are my only real problem with the 351 devices and them being even worse now is a no go. My next handheld needs stacked triggers.
The 7x integer scaling for GBA games on that screen looks nice.
Yeah, the one main reason I didn't want to get the current crop of handhelds was due to screen size (and power, to be fair). If it gets a price cut I might consider buying one, just for GBA and the older 4:3 systems.
As much as I love my 351V, my old eyes would love a bigger screen.
Of course, if the Steam Deck arrives this century, I might just use that.
That's overkill! N3DS XL, DSI XL, Vita, Switch and Steam Deck is the proper carry arrangement. Analogue is optional! ;)legit next year when i'm on a long plane ride or w/e i'm gonna have an analogue pocket, new 3ds xl, switch, playdate, and steam deck w/ me it's going to be the most ridiculous overkill

yeah i might have to dig that up just to have some sony representation, although my fav use case for vita has always been remote play
the V and other vertical machines is super triggering to me. Just years of hunching over the OG Gameboy has scared me. Game Gear was the first machine that got it right, even if you needed a nuclear reactor for more than an hour of play timeMy current airplane/travel load out is 351V and Switch.
Steam Deck will be interesting. It's theoretically possible that's all I need. Maybe I will still need something 351V sized, we shall see.

Most of the newest handhelds should be able to run the new android PS2 emulator that just came out, but performance will still vary wildly per game, so you should ask yourself which PS2 games are you trying to playAre any of these devices good for PS2? Or am I stuck waiting for steam deck?

Oh wow. That's a lot for me right now lolYou could pick up the Aya Neo Pro to run PS2…
…it's $1400 though.
Yep, you could also get a gaming laptop for that much. Prices are just too high for these devices unfortunately. You could pick up the Aya Neo Pro to run PS2…

man that delay was such a kick in the nadsYep, it's a lot for a lot of people. Especially considering the Steam Deck is on the horizon.
What phone is that?More than 20 hours of Rogue Galaxy played on Aethersx2. This emulator is insanely good!
ETA Prime mentioned on his recent video the Aya Neo Pro would still likely come up on top for performance emulation but if Steam Deck does admirably the price is a no-brainer.Yep, it's a lot for a lot of people. Especially considering the Steam Deck is on the horizon.
I'm not counting on it, the 351MP also just releasedNow that the RG552 is on the horizon do you guys think prices on RG351MP will drop a bit? I'm on the cusp of getting one but I can't seem to find one anywhere I'm comfortable buying from for less than $165.
It's a Poco x3 pro. It is running the majority of PS2 games really well. What phone is that?

How does Valkyrie Profile 2 run on this emu?More than 20 hours of Rogue Galaxy played on Aethersx2. This emulator is insanely good!
