But most expected Nemesis to be a persistent threat. That Gamexplain review really went to town on the limited content. Apparently the only outdoors city sections are what we say in the demo, and the RPD is a truncated version of what we saw in RE2.
I don't mind Nemesis not stalking you throughout like Mr X as I'm ok with him being a boss character.
They should release an RE2/3 pack at the end of the year. And when they do RE4 remake, they had BETTER not leave anything out from that game.
that remains to be seen. A critic isn't exactly gonna go in and replay the game 8 or 9 times for, and with, unlockables. At least, I wouldn't expect them too.
I finished RE7 over the weekend again, it's up there with RE2R, and RE4. Hope they go all in on next gen.I don't think many people will agree but i'm here for it, RE7 was perfect.
Do late reviews have lower scores?
Wow that is really short. Definite pass for such a short game and high price.
If I may ask some questions.
This.
I adored RE2make, but, it was definitely much more of a standard remake than REmake was. Didn't change that much ultimately.
REmake is in a league of it's own. Updating the game with modern graphics and adding genuine twists and surprises that still felt true to the original. That's what these *should* be.
That's why it was good
No clue really. No crows either.Damn what the hell does Capcom have against them? That's twice now.
What does this mean "it went from", it's two different games we're talking about here one is not an extension of the other.
I don't understand, the score is at 80/100. Why the doom and gloom?
Couple of 6s and 5's. The omissions as well.I don't understand, the score is at 80/100. Why the doom and gloom?
Have they? I've been sticking to the general tag lines to avoid spoilers but I wouldn't trust them on that imo. Then again, I always dump 100 hours into these games so I ain't gonna be bothered lolBut a couple of the reviews mention there's no incentive to go through the game again like in other Resident Evil games, that's what I am referencing.
Making Nemesis incredibly powerful was a mistake. It was never going to be a persistent threat outside of scripted fights because balancing that would've been a nightmare.
Yeah, I don't get it either. Expected a higher score myself, but it's still a good score.I don't understand, the score is at 80/100. Why the doom and gloom?
if the 6 hours are good i'll happily pay $60.Yeah.. just not for 60 dollars rn.
Will buy later.. RE2 was my goty.
Wait to play the new Sewers before you write them off! They're one of the best parts of the new game -- the new Hunter Gammas are super freaky.
As for the Clock tower -- without spoiling anything, a lot of stuff from that sequence have been picked out and added to other parts of the game. There's a lot of "remixing" in the game. I won't pretend the Clock Tower being cut doesn't hurt a bit, but it doesn't feel like there's a gaping hole in the plot or anything.
Indeed. I've got no problems with being the case. RE3 is still my favorite.

Nope. Lickers were absent in OG RE3. Hm, probably. Spiders are standard inventory since RE1 though. So I still do not understand..My guess is they didn't bother to make them for RE2R, since there were only a small few. And they especially didn't bother to make them for RE3R. They took Lickers from RE2R instead (they weren't in OG RE3 I'm sure).
Ink Ribbons are still there in Hardcore mode right?I really don't think it's bad at all. It's in no way shape or form a mess. I adored my hardcore playthrough of it and yes, it feel rushed and some thing have obviously been cut but what is there is absolutely incredible.
For what some reviews say, the problem is not that it's short, it's that it feels rushed because the pacing is breakneck. So I heard the Easy Allies review and it seems like the biggest problem is that it's short, which isn't a problem at all for me, so I'm excited.
Finished on standard not hard. Tried hard for a bit for my second playthrough (gotta get those unlockables) it's brutal IMHO. I'd say go with standard. I tried assisted too but found it a bit pointless. If I may ask some questions.
Was your first run on hard difficulty? if not did you try it? I just want to know which difficulty will be best to start with.
The same thing can be applied to just about every RE game. But a couple of the reviews mention there's no incentive to go through the game again like in other Resident Evil games, that's what I am referencing.
Cuz RE2 scored 92 and people didn't expect such a massive drop in the review average.
I mean, I can deal with this not being a GOTY contender. It still being a good well designed game is what matters at the end of the day. 🤷♂️
